Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - 'Holiday Happenings'

I really can't believe it's the 4th Sunday of the month of November!

Yes, it really is, and it's the Stamping Sunday Design Team Blog Hop - and our theme is 'Holiday Happenings'.

Summer is just around the corner, and Summer Holidays are just a few weeks away for those of us in Australia. And Christmas! I just can't wait for some fun in the sun and a little getaway over the New Year break.

To start with, I have created a large and extended Christmas Cracker using the 'Cracker & Treat Box Dies' and 'Boughs of Holly 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper'.

This little extended number holds 3 Lindt Chocolate Balls - the regular Cracker will hold 2 Lindt Chocolate Balls.

The sentiment is stamped using the 'Merriest Moments' stamp set.
Die cut with the 'Stylish Shapes Dies' and 'Gold Metallic Specialty Paper' using the 'Layering Circles Dies.

All tied up with 'Gold 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon'.

I have added a few gold sequins from the 'For Everything Fancy Sequins'.

Imperial measurements; adding approximately 1-1/4" to make a longer Cracker.

Metric measurements; adding approximately 3.5cm to make a longer Cracker.

And my favourite little 'Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Dies' - this little item is retired but it's just the cutest little treat box!

To: Me!
The simplest of treat boxes, a tag and some 'Gold Simply Elegant Trim'.

The sweetest duos of Christmas Treat Boxes, and I have a few more to make.

Sometimes simple is the best, especially where Lindt chocolates and these super cute Christmas paper craft boxes make a lovely treat for friends, and for the Christmas table.

Thankyou so much for visiting, and now it's time to visit the Design Team and to see their 'Holiday Happenings' creations. See you next time. D x

Onstage 2022 swaps

It's the best time of the year when us Stampin' Up! Demonstrators can get together for a little conference, 'Onstage 2022' in Sydney.

And this was our first face to face gathering since November 2019!

My swaps!
I only made a handful and no time to spare to bag them, let alone add my recipe to the back.

The 'Pool Party' tag is from the 'Celebrations Tags Dies'.
Stamping the sentiment using the 'Lovely You' stamp set with 'Coastal Cabana' ink.
I added a couple of 'Polished Pink' & 'Blushing Bride' stitched hearts into the centre of the tag, and a 'Fresh Freesia' cardstock reinforcement ring.
Thread through some 'White Glittered Organdy Ribbon' and tie with 'White Bakers Twine'.

'Crumb Cake' for the embossed card front using the 'Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder', then die cut using the 'Stitched Rectangle Dies' and a 'Crumb Cake' layer.

A different colour combination using a 'Fresh Freesia' cardstock tag, stamped sentiment using 'Polished Pink' ink & a 'Soft Sea Foam' cardstock reinforcement ring.

It was a wonderful event, and so much fun catching up with everyone. Just wished it was for more than 1 day. D x

It's time for the Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop.

You may have hopped to my blog from the super talented Mikaela from the UK, or you have started with me? Welcome to our November Blog Hop.

It's Spring in Australia, and I am still celebrating the most wonderful time of the year with flowers and blooms and our theme 'Fun & Fancy Folds'.

I have a Z-fold card, and a note card evolved from Designer Series Paper - inspired by my gorgeous friend Elizabeth Gross.

I absolutely love the 'Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper'. Gorgeous colours, fabulous florals and beautiful patterns for upcoming Spring Birthday Celebrations'.

My Z-fold card... featuring the glorious 'Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper' florals as the main feature, and the 'Celebrate with Tags Bundle'.

I stamped the sentiment using 'Polished Pink' ink onto 'Basic White' cardstock, and die cut using the banner die from the 'Stylish Shapes Dies'.

Adding the 'Gold 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon' and a die cut 'Brushed Gold Metallic Specialty Paper' heart.

Z-fold card. Can you see the 'Z'?

A 'Brushed Gold Metallic Specialty Paper' die cut heart with a 'Happy Birthday' sentiment from the 'Penguin Place' stamp set.

A lovely piece of Designer Series Paper, folded into a notecard opening up....

to find a stamped sentiment inside, and a surprise fold holding a Gift Card as you literally pull open the card.

Next up is Kathy in the US. I can't wait to see Kathy's fun & fancy fold creation.
