'You're Sublime' hoppy birthday - Global Design Project Sketch Challenge #gdp010

It's week 10 over at the Global Design Project this week and it's a Sketch Challenge! I hope you get the chance to play along this week? - here is the Schedule and there is plenty of time to get your creative on. I don't know why, but I love a Sketch Challenge and here is this weeks sketch designed by the amazing Teneale Williams:
I had about 1 million ideas going around my head as to what to create, but I didn't have time to make 1 million projects! So, with all of the many ideas floating around my head, and altering the sketch by making my card square, this is what I decided on...
I had to make a 'Happy Birthday' card for my 7 year old Harrison, to give to his friend this week. Harrison chose the frog stamp, and the DSP for this cute card. And look at him right at home on his lilypad. I love this little guy! What's not to love?
I altered the sentiment to 'hoppy birthday', just to make it a bit more cute! I placed a sliver of Washi tape over the 'a' on the 'happy birthday' and brushed the Tip Top Taupe Stampin' Write Marker over the sentiment. I then removed the Washi tape, and stamped the sentiment onto cardstock. Using the pen end of the marker I wrote in the 'o'.
*Don't forget to remove your Washi tape prior to stamping - otherwise you end up with a huge smudge.
I used the strip of stars from the 'Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies' to add to the inside of the card. There are 7 stars in the die, and Harrison's friend is turning 7. Perfect!
And a Cucumber Crush envelope made from the 2015-2017 In Colour Envelope Paper and the Envelope Punch Board for this little frog to hop inside. I just love him!!!
Below are links to watch Stampin' Up! videos on how to make your own envelopes, and to see the Envelope Paper and how to use it.

But wait! There's more...
I couldn't resist and had to make 1 more card. Just one.
I have made this 'Happy Anniversary' card for friends of mine celebrating their 35th Wedding Anniversary this Sunday. (I had to give the card, and permission to open earlier, as the post would be up before Sunday.)
I have used the 'You're So Sweet' Bundle  consisting of the 'You're So Sweet' stampset and 'Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies' saving you 15% when you buy the Bundle.
The inside of the card reveals a strip of hearts from the 'Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies'. I love prettying up the inside of a card.
Plus an envelope to match from the gorgeous new Neutrals Envelope Paper, made using the Envelope Punch Board.

Thankyou so much for stopping by. You can leave a comment as I love hearing from you, but most of all I hope to have inspired you. D x

  3. DENITA!!! Both cards are wonderful. Love the energy created with the striped paper, and your hoppy frog couldn't be a more adorable accent. The second card is simply gorgeous - you should add that one to the gallery, too. I'm so happy you played along with this week's Global Design Project sketch challenge. Thanks!
