A Man After My Own Heart - Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop

You may have hopped to me from Kathy, or have started right here?

Be ready for a Blog Hop full of creations for the Men in our lives.

I do find it hard to create for the Guys, and I live with 3!

I have used some NEW, and some returning products, that certainly fit the brief for our Masculine Theme.

I have made a card, and a matchy matchy gift box.

How cool is the concrete looking Designer Series Paper?

I have used the 'In Good Taste Designer Series Paper' for my card front.

I added some texture by using the 'Subtle 3D Embossing Folder'.

Some stamped off 'Smoky Slate' ink underneath the sentiment, and heat embossing using 'Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder for the sentiment.

'Stitched Rectangle Dies', 'Brass Foil Sheet' & 'Denim Ribbon' for some sweet details.

I love the concrete look of this Gift Box!

All wrapped up with a 'Basic Gray' cardstock Belly band, and the same details as my card.

And the Belly band taken off the box.

Inspire.Create.Stamping Challenges Blog Hop - Sketch Challenge #068

Hello, and welcome to my blog.

The Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge Design Team have a Sketch Challenge for you this week.

We would love for you to join in the fun, and you can add your project to our Blog gallery here.

I love that with a Sketch Challenge you can use whatever stamp set, or Designer Series Papers, Ribbons & Embellishments you desire.

I am using a couple of retiring products - get in quick to get these lovely 'Laser-cut cards and DSP, and the returning 'Free As A Bird' stamp set.

I have fussy cut the bird on the branch from the delightful 'Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper', adhering it onto the circle element of the Sketch.

The 'Copper Foil' scallop circle and sentiment layer, give the card such a lift.

The beauty of the 2 sided DSP; as you open, the card you are greeted with the lovely scene of birds and flowers.

I added some texture to the flap of the envelope by adding it to the 'Subtle 3D Embossing Folder'.

(Unfortunately, the envelope didn't photograph very well.)

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Sale-a-Bration Favourite

It's the 4th Sunday of the month, and it's time for the Stamping Sunday Design Team Blog Hop!
This team are choosing their Sale-a-Bration favourite. 
What's your favourite in the SAB Brochure?

 If I have to choose a Sale-a-Bration favourite, it would have to be this Bundle; 'Sending You Thoughts' stamp set and the coordinating 'Sending Flowers Dies'.

     

'Sending You Thoughts' stamp set - FREE when you spend $90 AUD.

'Sending Flowers Dies' - pair the dies with the 'Sending You Thoughts' stamp set for fun coordination.

I have created a card, and Mini Pizza Box belly band.

You could use any sentiment, or any occasion for both of these items.

I had fun watercolouring the die cut flowers; again, you could choose your own colours for the flowers and stems.

'Congratulations'

The sentiment fits perfectly inside the banner die cut.

The background is a pattern in 'Pool Party' from the 'Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper' - found in the Mini Catalogue.

I have used 'Shimmery White' for the 'Sending You Flowers' die cut. I then used the largest circle from the 'Layering Circles Dies' to create the circle.

A close up of the watercolouring. It's a bit messy, but I love the effect.

A lovely finish with some 'Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon'.

And a cute belly band for our 'Mini Pizza Boxes'.

Wrap the cardstock around the Mini Pizza Box - not too tightly, as the belly band slips off. Adhere cardtock belly band into place. Then, wrap the Designer Series Paper, and adhere.

The belly band slips off to the back of the box - there is a small lip at the front for the closure that doesn't allow the belly band to slip off from the front.
Add a whisp and bow of 'Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon' and you have a cute wrapped box.
