Layers of Leaves - Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop.
You are visiting me from Linda, or have started at my page. Have a wonderful time hopping through the line up for our 'Layers of Leaves' Theme for October.

My Layers of Leaves creations have a Spring theme - we are in the middle of Spring in Australia, and new life in the garden is blooming.

'You're just amazing'

I started out with my background - using the 'Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Emsbossing Folder.

*Tip: stamp your sentiment first, then emboss your cardstock.

Next: I die cut the 'amazing' from the 'Wood Textures Designer Series Paper'. I also die cut 2 layers of 'Early Espresso' cardstock and adhered these underneath the 'Wood Textures DSP'. 

*Tip: Use the 'Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets' to the cardstock prior to cutting. This makes it all so easy to adhere the layers together.

The 'Granny Apple Green' leaves, and 'Vellum' accents were arranged underneath the sentiment.

And a little bit of detail using the 'Banner Triple Punch'.

And a couple of Gift tags - because I had die cut extra leaves, and I love the 'Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon' with a touch of 'Linen Thread'.

If you know me (or regularly see my posts), you may know that I love a teeny tiny bow! 

And teeny tiny love hearts too.

I had to accomodate for my Gift tags.

Global Design Project - Sketch Challenge #158

I have had some spare time to play along with this weeks Global Design Project 'Sketch' Challenge #158. It's not often I play along, but I just love this Sketch!

'So Santa' is a firm favourite from the Holiday Catalogue and this is what I came up with...

'Ho! Ho! Ho! Who needs snow?'

I have had the idea for a wooden surfboard using 'Wood Textures Designer Series Paper' for a while, and it finally came to fruition.

I even glassed Santa's surfboard with some 'Fine-Tip Glue'.

How cool is Santa in his custom board shorts, from a snippet of 'Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper'.

So, Santa has made his deliveries and has earned himself a surf session and a Piña Colada (or Pineapple juice?) for all his hard work.

There are some gifts (from the Scootering Santa), yet to be placed under a Christmas tree somewhere.

Inspire.Create.Stamping Challenges - 'Colour' Challenge #028

It's Colour Challenge time at Inspire.Create.Stamping Challenges.
The Design Team have some gorgeous creations using the 5 colours, and you can play along too.

I have created a Birthday card using the NEW 'Nothing Sweeter' Bundle from the Holiday Catalogue.

How fun are the bright colours for our Colour Challenge?

The presents have been stamped onto 'Sahara Sand' cardstock - representing 'Brown packages tied up with string'. And then die-cut using the coordinating die.

The background is a waterwash of 'Crushed Curry', 'Calypso Coral', 'Lovely Lipstick' & 'Pear Pizzazz'.

I gently smooshed the ink onto my acrylic blocks, and added the colour to the 'Shimmery White' cardstock with my 'Aqua Painter'.

'Happy Birthday' - from the 'Perrenial Birthday' stamp set.
 I used the 'Petal Pink' pearls from the 'Share What You Love Artisan Pearls', and coloured over them using the 'Light Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blends Marker'.
