For You - Case the Designer Challenge #gdp032

| on
11:59
It's 'Case the Designer' Challenge for this weeks Global Design Project #gdp032, and we are 'CASEing' (Copy And Selectively Edit) the amazing Krista Frattin. Oh my this girl is so clever. And she is a Member of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team. And I love, love, love her creations!
This is my take on Krista's gorgeous card:
I have kept with the Layout of Krista's card and part thereof the Colours, however I have used Gold instead of Silver accents, and a different stampset.
I stamped the flower image using 'Versamark' onto 'Vellum cardstock', and embossed the image using Gold embossing powder. I turned over my embossed image and coloured the underside of the flower using 'Stampin' Write Markers' in Blushing Bride,
In this photo you can see the glimmer of the 'Clear Wink of Stella' I applied to the Blushing Bride stripes on the 'Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper'. Sooooooo pretty.

Some machine stitching adds some lovely dimension to my card, and to finish with a teeny Gold Metallic bow attached to the sentiment.

Thankyou for taking the time to visit my blog, and I hope to have inspired you with my creation, thanks to Krista!
Have a fabulous day. D x

Swaps #OnStage2016

| on
08:43
It's 'OnStage 2016', and we are in Sydney for what is an exciting time for us Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. We are at the Hilton Sydney and it is the epicentre of excitement as we await the NEW Annual Catalogue 2016-2017, and to see and play with NEW products!!! We are catching up with Demonstrators from all over Australia, and the atmosphere is palpable. It's unreal.
(And before you get too excited, I can't show you anything of the Catalogue just yet... it's all underwraps until I can show you the front cover on Tuesday 19th April.)
When we attend Stampin' Up! Events, we can make 'swaps' to share with our fellow Demonstrators. A 'swap' is a creation made using items from current Catalogues and allows us to share our creativity and enjoy the creativity of other stampers.
These are my creations:
'Follow Your Heart' 3" x 3" notecards.
I made these to fit inside Project Life® for Stampin' Up! photo pockets, and maybe they can be a Memory Keeping idea for those I am sharing with for 'On Stage 2016'?
Click here to learn more about Project Life® Memory Keeping - it is a simple system for organising your photos into albums using albums, photo pocket pages, card collections and accessory packs, stamps, tools and more.
'Celebrate Today' 3" x 3" notecards.
Another notecard using the 'Botanical Blooms Bundle' & 'Enjoy the Little Things' stampset. Again, this notecard is able to be used as a Project Life® card for a photo pocket.
I have submitted this creation into the Global Design Project Theme Challenge: 'Nature' #gdp031. You can see it here.
A snapshot of what I had in mind for my cards... sitting inside 3" x 4" photo pockets next to the Project Recipe I typed out.

I even branded the back of my swaps using the 'Alphabet Rotary Stamp' - 'It's the best stamp since sliced bread', especially when you want to make your own sentiment, or personalise a creation.

Thankyou for visiting. Stay tuned for bits & pieces from 'OnStage 2016', and I look forward to hearing from you.
Happy Stamping! D x

Creation Station Blog Hop 'Birthdays'

| on
01:00
Welcome to the March Creation Station Blog Hop! You may have hopped to me from Mikaela in the UK, or have hopped back to me from Julie in the UK - aren't their creations amazing??? Now you are visiting me in Australia!
This months Blog Hop is all about 'Birthdays'. There are so many beautiful products to get your Birthday creations happening, and the first 14 pages in the Occasions Catalogue have the perfect products for you.
The 'Birthday Bouquet' Suite was my pick... think Confetti, Balloons & Ice Cream Cones in tones of Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron & Pool Party.
There were so many ideas that popped into my mind, and I could not wait to use the super cute 'Bow Paper Clips Embellishments' - they are really super cute!, the 'Pool Party Glitter Ribbon', and the 'Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper' is just so beautiful.
OK - I will show you the creations I came up with...
A Confetti Birthday card & coordinating Gift Box using the 'Tiny Treat Boxes' (25 Kraft Gift Boxes measuring 5.1cm x 5.1cm x 5.1cm) The 'Pool Party Glitter Ribbon' beautifully finishes both of these creations.
Mint Macaron Balloons and 'Rhinestone Jewels' for that little bit of bling. A little touch of 'Mint Macaron Dotted Lace Trim' and a 'Bow Paper Clip'.
The trio of cards were really simple to make. You can make 6 cards from 1 sheet of 12" x 12" DSP. Below are the measurements for my 'Birthday Bouquet' Birthday cards.
Kraft Cardstock Base: 14.8cm x 10.5cm (5.8" x 4.1")
Whisper White mat: 14.3cm x 10cm (5.6" x 4")
Cardstock mat: 13.7cm x 9.2cm (5.4" x 3.6")
DSP: 13.5cm x 9cm (5.3" x 3.5")

I needed some Happy Birthday Gift tags in my stash. With some Blushing Bride cardstock, strips of Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper & Gold Foil, some coordinating sequin trim and the 'Bow Paper Clips', I created these little darlings.
And these 'Ice Cream Cone' Gift tags using Mint Macaron. So sweet!

I hope you have been inspired to create your Birthday creations with the beautiful 'Birthday Bouquet' Suite. There are so many amazing creations for you to see from the Creation Station Design Team - keep on hopping... and thankyou for visiting my blog. D x

Birthday Bouquet Sketch Challenge - Global Design Project #gdp018

| on
16:57
Hello there. This week is a Sketch Challenge for the Global Design Project #gdp018. The Design Team have created some award worthy projects and you have to see what they have done!  I love a Sketch Challenge, and I really love this one!
This is my creation;
A very pretty & pink 'Happy Birthday' card using the ever so beautiful 'Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper' and the 'Number of Years' stampset.
I fussy cut the flower (yes, I had to take a deep breath in before my snips touched the paper), and on the flip side of this pretty DSP is the Blushing Bride brushstrokes. I stamped the 'Happy Birthday' in Blushing Bride ink onto the striped paper to make the rectangular greetings element from the sketch.
You might be able to see that I have covered the sentiments, and outlined the flower & leaves with a touch of Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. LOVE THAT STUFF!!! And a little bit of machine sewing to add some texture around the Blushing Bride mat.
I used up some strips of the DSP to pretty up the inside of the card. And kept the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment uninterrupted.

Thankyou for taking the time to visit and read my blog post. I would love to hear from you if you would like to leave me a comment. D x

Sneak Peek 'Celebrate' - Global Design Project #gdp015

| on
17:54
Hello and welcome to my blog.
It's the Global Design Project 'Theme' Challenge #gdp015 this week, and the Theme is 'Celebrate'. I am celebrating that School is out for Summer (and I'm singing it right now), and my Teacher Husband has finally finished the year as of today. And Celebrate we are! What are you Celebrating right now? Maybe a December Birthday?
I have made a Birthday card; using some gorgeous NEW products available in the Occasions Catalogue from January 5th, 2016.
What's a celebration without balloons? These cute little balloons using Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron, Pool Party & Watermelon Wonder are NEW and in the Occasions Catalogue - 'Party Wishes Stamp Set' and coordinating 'Party Punch Pack' and they will come as a BUNDLE!!! Happy days.
I immediately thought of the wood veneer 'Celebrate' for my creation from the 'Expressions Natural Elements'. This pack also has 'Thanks' & 'Congrats' and there are 5 of each (15 in total) to make your 3D projects look amazing!!!
I used the Gold Metallic Thread for the balloons and threaded the strands through the 'Celebrate'.
I stamped a little 'make a wish' on the inside of the card, and added a banner at the bottom using the very pretty 'Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper'. I am in love with this DSP. Seriously, IN LOVE. It's my newest and best DSP, and you are going to love it too... I know you will.
Did you notice the strip of the most gorgeous and NEW 'Pool Party Glitter Ribbon', sitting underneath the 'Celebrate' sentiment? Again, I am in love with this stunning ribbon. IN LOVE, and I gasped when I saw it!!! You can see it all shiny and sparkly (in the photo above) and for my project I cut it down to a finer strip; (originally 1cm or 3/8" wide).
WARNING: This ribbon frays when cut. I used Multipurpose Glue to adhere the ribbon to the cardstock, using the teeniest amount to the cut side to hold it all together.
I punched Vellum balloons to overlay the existing stamped and punched cardstock balloons. The vellum gives the existing balloons a soft layer, and they have a lovely finish as if they were real and floating in the air.

I cannot wait for the Occasions Catalogue to go live in January, and please let me know if you would like me to send you your very own - *Australian Residents Only. It's so gorgeous, you have to see it and hold it and flick through it and get your Wish List ready... just message me.

Thankyou for coming along and reading my blog post. I really love your comments and I really do try and reply back. The main thing is that I have inspired you and hope you get the chance to play along with the Global Design Project? D x
