Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop - 'Gifts from the Garden'

| on
00:00
Hello, and welcome to the July 'Creation Station Design Team' Blog Hop! This month we are creating beautiful projects using Garden Themed Stamp sets and coordinating products. You will not be disappointed with the talent of my fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators and their creations.
To make sure you get to see everyone's amazing projects, click on the 'BACK' & 'NEXT' buttons at the bottom of my post.

We are in the middle of Winter in Australia, and I managed to get some 'Summer' time colour and warmth with my projects by using the absolutely divine 'Fruit Stand' Designer Series Paper & coordinating 'Fruit Stand' A4 Cardstock!

My little Gift Boxes turned out better than I imagined. I used different ribbons and twine to pretty up the packaging, and of course they coordinate beautifully.
I want to share with you the tutorial I found.
Click here to be taken to Christina's blog and get ready to make your own cute boxes & lids.
All you need is: a 'Stampin' Trimmer' to cut & score your 'DSP' for the lid and 'Cardstock' for the bottom, 'Paper Snips' and 'Multipurpose Liquid Glue' or an adhesive of your choice.

Inside the boxes; filled with coordinating treats! Did you notice the packing paper lined inside the boxes? It's a perfect fit: 2 strips criss-crossed at 6.5cm x 19.2cm (2 9/16" x 7 9/16") and enough to cover the treats before popping the lid on. How's that for recycling?

I also made some cards to go with the boxes... The sentiment is the same on all the cards as I purposely made a bunch for any occasion using the 'Perfectly Wrapped' stampset. All you need to do is add an appropriate sentiment inside the card. Or not.

The 'Hardwood' Background stamp was used to make the wood panel circle and I used the '2" Circle Punch' for the backing cardstock circle and 'Layering Circle Framelits Dies' for the 'Hardwood' circle.

This card & gift box remind me of Fruit Salad. Yummy, yummy!

And the strawberry patch.

I love the 'Fruit Stand' Designer Series Paper. It's so pretty and colourful and I couldn't wait to use it!
And here is something wonderful; you can buy a Cardstock pack of 24 sheets (8 sheets of each colour) of the 'Fruit Stand A4 Cardstock' consisting of: Pear Pizzazz, Peakaboo Peach & Watermelon Wonder, to coordinate beautifully with the 'Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper'. How clever!!!

I hope you get a chance to purchase yourself the 'Fruit Stand Suite' of products. I didn't use the 'Fresh Fruit' stampset but that doesn't mean you need to miss out on this gorgeous stampset.

Get yourself ready to keep on hopping... the lovely Holly is up next, or you can go back to see the lovely Sara.
Thankyou so much for being here. D x

Creation Station - Project Kits

| on
00:00
It's the Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop for June, and we will be showing you some gorgeous NEW products from the gorgeous NEW Annual Catalogue that launched 1st June, 2016. A huge welcome to you if you have hopped from Nicole's blog or back from Cindy - their creations are amazing!!! As always.

I love the 'Project Kits' and 'All Inclusive Kits' in the NEW Catalogue, and this year Stampin' Up! have provided some beautiful Kits for all occasions.
My very favourite is the 'Perfectly Wrapped Project Kit', and the colour combinations are so pretty! This Project Kit is a simple solution to get you going, as everything you need to create the projects are in the kit to make 16 packaging solutions. There are a couple of the 'NEW In Colours 2016-2018' making their debut with this kit; 'Emerald Envy & Peekaboo Peach'!

I have made up 1 of each of the Gift Boxes & Bags (omitting the handles on the large gift bag). How lovely to give a gift in your very own handmade Gift Box or Bag? Don't they look beautiful all sitting together?, and the gold accents from the sequins, circle banner & clips make these projects look super special!

A closer look at the bits & pieces included in the 'Perfectly Wrapped Project Kit':
Instruction sheet!, 4 Kraft bags (8.3 x 17.7cm), 4 cellophane bags (7.6 x 15.2cm), 4 clear acetate boxes with gold foil (5.1 x 5.1 x 5.1cm), 4 black & white striped cardstock boxes & acetate sleeves (7.6 x 7.6 x 7.6cm), die-cut cardstock image sheets, Designer Series Paper, Baker's Twine, labels, stickers, sequins and cotton paper trim, gold clips & mini clothespins.

The 'Perfectly Wrapped' stampset is sold separately to the Project Kit. You can make your own gift tags and cards using this gorgeous stamp set, and I can't wait to get cracking and create some more.
And you will also need some coordinating Stampin' Pads to stamp with. The colours are: Basic Black Archival Stampin' Pad, Emerald Envy, Mint Macaron, Peekaboo Peach & Tangerine Tango.

Here is the YouTube 'Perfectly Wrapped Project Kit' by Stampin' Up! Click on the video to watch and see how to create your own cute gift boxes and bags. It's definitely worth a watch.

Thankyou so much for visiting me. Please keep hopping to see all the girls blogs and their fabulous creations; click on the NEXT & BACK buttons below. Oh, and I love comments too.
Stay safe and happy creating. D x

Creation Station Blog Hop 'Going Global'

| on
23:00
Hello, and welcome to the May 'Creation Station Design Team' Blog Hop! You have hopped to my blog from Sara, or back from Nicole - a HUGE welcome to you. Make sure you keep on hopping to be inspired by some incredibly talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the Globe, and believe me you are going to be inspired by their creations.

This month the theme is 'Going Global' and we are creating for the guys. I often find myself stuck to create a masculine project, and I have managed to create a few projects for you.

My first creation, using the 'Circle Card Thinlits Dies' and the divine 'Kraft cardstock'...
The 'Globe' stamp was coloured using 'Stampin' Write Markers'. I spritzed the image with water and stamped straight onto 'Watercolour Paper'.
Inside the Circle Flip is the compass - I fussy cut the points and mounted them onto 'Stampin' Dimensionals', then added some 'Gold Wink of Stella' to finish.
My second creation uses the 'World Traveller Textured Impression Embossing Folder'. This was so fun to make, and I added a Hot Air Balloon - reminding me of 'Around the World in 80 Days' by Jules Verne.
I swiped the 'Marina Mist Stampin' Pad' onto the TIEF to colour the water - the water is raised on the 'SIZZIX' side of the TIEF and the countries are left clean to colour using 'Stampin' Write Markers'.
  • Spritz TIEF with water
  • Place the 'Watercolour Paper' into the TIEF and close
  • Run the TIEF through the Big Shot
  • Allow 'Watercolour Paper' to dry fully before creating.

Speaking of 'Around the World in 80 Days' - I created this card using the quote from the original 1956 movie poster.
Using the 'World Traveller TIEF' on 'Kraft cardstock', I edged the countries with the 'Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker', and traced over the Longitude & Latitude lines as well. The quote was created using the fabulous and about to retire 'Alphabet Rotary Stamp'. I will miss this rotary stamp BIG TIME!

And last but not least a few Gift Tags to showcase the other stamps in the 'Going Global' stampset. The 'Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack' has gorgeous patterns, and I love this undulating mountain scene. I stamped the sentiments onto 'Kraft cardstock' and then backed with 'Lost Lagoon' cardstock.

Thankyou for being here. I hope you have some new ideas for the 'Going Global Suite' found in the Occasions Catalogue. If you have any questions, ask away. I love hearing from you.
Happy travels and keep on hopping! D x

Creation Station Blog Hop 'Botanical Blooms'

| on
00:00
Welcome to my blog and to another 'Creation Station Blog Hop' for the month of April.
You have possibly hopped to me from Elizabeth's blog or back from Nicole, and there are some incredible projects to be seen... I know I am inspired by the creations from the Design Team and this months theme using the 'Botanical Blooms Bundle'.

I have made a few little notecards using the Bundle. You get the Stamp Set, Framelits Dies & Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper as a Bundle & Save 15%. That's 3 items! Bargain!!!
You can make 8 notecards from 1 sheet of Kraft 12" x 12" cardstock.
These are the dimensions for my notecards:
Kraft Cardstock cardbase measures 6" x 3" (score at 3") or 15.2cm x 7.6cm (score at 7.6cm).
Hello Honey cardstock mat measures 2 7/8" x 2 7/8" or 7.3cm x 7.3cm
Botanical Gardens DSP is 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" or 7cm x 7cm
4 little notecards all prettied up with some 'Burlap Ribbon' and the sweet 'Botanical Garden Jewels' in the centre of the flower. Sweet & simple.

I went a little outside the square and have created a couple of 3D items. Using the 'Botanical Blooms' Stamp set and 'Botanical Builder Framelits Dies', I have made a mini terrarium.
I layered the bottom of the terrarium using 'Cucumber Crush' cardstock for the moss. I then scrunched up tiny balls of  'White Filter Paper', 'Sahara Sand' cardstock & 'Smoky Slate' cardstock to make some pebbles. And a circle of 'Early Espresso' cardstock to represent the soil.
I started with a strip of cardstock approx 1cm x 15cm and made a circle to start my mini garden of jungle leaves. I layered and layered until my garden was complete. The teeny butterflies are from the SAB 'Flowering Fields' stampset which retired a few days ago - they are the perfect size to flutter within the terrarium and add such a beautiful pop of colour.

And a wee little *Kokedama - made using a golf ball and wrapping twine around the tiny ball. I was inspired by my friends who make Kokedama and click here to visit their Instagram page.
*The Kokedama is actually a form of Bonsai. The plant, usually a fern, tree, or succulent, is grown to a small size, and then, along with the correct soil and fertiliser, is carefully transplanted inside a bundled ball of specialised moss and wrapped with string.

Thankyou for visiting my blog. Click on the BACK & NEXT buttons below to keep on 'hopping' and visit the rest of the Creation Station Design Team blogs and their fabulous creations.
You can leave a comment - I love reading them, and I will reply in turn. And leave a comment on the other blogs too. They make us smile. Have a fantastic day. D x

Creation Station Blog Hop 'Birthdays'

| on
01:00
Welcome to the March Creation Station Blog Hop! You may have hopped to me from Mikaela in the UK, or have hopped back to me from Julie in the UK - aren't their creations amazing??? Now you are visiting me in Australia!
This months Blog Hop is all about 'Birthdays'. There are so many beautiful products to get your Birthday creations happening, and the first 14 pages in the Occasions Catalogue have the perfect products for you.
The 'Birthday Bouquet' Suite was my pick... think Confetti, Balloons & Ice Cream Cones in tones of Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron & Pool Party.
There were so many ideas that popped into my mind, and I could not wait to use the super cute 'Bow Paper Clips Embellishments' - they are really super cute!, the 'Pool Party Glitter Ribbon', and the 'Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper' is just so beautiful.
OK - I will show you the creations I came up with...
A Confetti Birthday card & coordinating Gift Box using the 'Tiny Treat Boxes' (25 Kraft Gift Boxes measuring 5.1cm x 5.1cm x 5.1cm) The 'Pool Party Glitter Ribbon' beautifully finishes both of these creations.
Mint Macaron Balloons and 'Rhinestone Jewels' for that little bit of bling. A little touch of 'Mint Macaron Dotted Lace Trim' and a 'Bow Paper Clip'.
The trio of cards were really simple to make. You can make 6 cards from 1 sheet of 12" x 12" DSP. Below are the measurements for my 'Birthday Bouquet' Birthday cards.
Kraft Cardstock Base: 14.8cm x 10.5cm (5.8" x 4.1")
Whisper White mat: 14.3cm x 10cm (5.6" x 4")
Cardstock mat: 13.7cm x 9.2cm (5.4" x 3.6")
DSP: 13.5cm x 9cm (5.3" x 3.5")

I needed some Happy Birthday Gift tags in my stash. With some Blushing Bride cardstock, strips of Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper & Gold Foil, some coordinating sequin trim and the 'Bow Paper Clips', I created these little darlings.
And these 'Ice Cream Cone' Gift tags using Mint Macaron. So sweet!

I hope you have been inspired to create your Birthday creations with the beautiful 'Birthday Bouquet' Suite. There are so many amazing creations for you to see from the Creation Station Design Team - keep on hopping... and thankyou for visiting my blog. D x

Creation Station Blog Hop 'Bloomin' Love'

| on
01:00
Hello and welcome to the February Creation Station Blog Hop! You may have started with me?, or have hopped on over from Julie, or back from Jen. Just make sure you hop all around to visit the other fabulous Design Team Members.
(The links are at the bottom of my blog post).
And we have a brand new logo! Isn't is divine? Thanks to Cindy, Jen & Dena for their combined effort. Love it!

This month we are celebrating all things 'LOVE' and I have used the 'Bloomin' Love' Bundle and the 'Love Blossoms' Suite to make my LOVE creations for Valentines Day. But, this lovely lot is so versatile - think Weddings/Engagements/Anniversaries... and the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper is the prettiest and sparkliest - it is a MUST for your stash!
I have made some sweet notecards in Blushing Bride, Rose Red & Whisper White. The Bloomin' Hearts Thinlits Die is the most beautiful die, and I wanted to leave it quite simple to showcase the intricate details. I added the die cut flowers and some Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper to the centre of the flowers.
Inside... I used Stampin' Write Markers to colour the Banner and Sentiment, and tiny strips of Love Blossoms DSP Stack & Blushing Bride Glimmer to finish.
My Rose Red version, and some Basic Pearls added to the centre of the flowers for a pretty, vintage feel. I love the simple matting of the Blushing Bride & Rose Red cardstock too.
A very simple bannered sentiment for the inside of my Rose Red notecard.
These are Gift Card Holders using the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack - I am loving the combination of Blushing Bride & Crumb Cake! There are 48 sheets of this beautiful patterned 2 sided paper measuring 6"x6", and these holders are so easy to make. And not forgetting the Glimmer Paper. Swoon...
(I hope to have a photo tutorial for the Gift Card Holders for you soon - so make sure you are Subscribed to my blog so you can receive email updates and you don't miss out.)

I loved the way the Blushing Bride Glimmer heart turned out. It had to be in a frame, lifted by Stampin' Dimensionals and nothing else.
...it's in the air
I changed up the colour palette and used my favourite colours; Pool Party & Crumb Cake with some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper for the required bling! I love how these notecards turned out.
A close up of the intricate details and the gorgeous Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. So dazzling!

NEWSFLASH!!! There is a brand new product in the Occasions Catalogue called the Big Shot Die Brush. It is the best thing ever, and it helps remove the paper from intricate dies without tearing the paper. See photos below:

That's what Stampin' Up! is all about.
