Welcome to my blog, and to my last creation of 2016! 

The Global Design Project #gdp067 has a Theme Challenge - 'Trees'.

My creation is a forest full...

 With some 'Foxy Friends' playing hide & seek! 
And a 'Happy Birthday' card for our neighbour 'Foxy'.

This was such a fun card to make, and the 'Foxy Friends Bundle' is such a cute Bundle!

A little bit about my 'Taco Truck'...
Have you seen the DreamWorks movie 'Turbo'?
My Taco Truck is the 'Dos Bros Tacos' Truck - owned & operated by the brothers, Tito & Angelo.
When Turbo zooms into Tito's life, Tito is inspired and the two kindred spirits head off to chase an incredible dream.

 ‘Turbo’; a speed-obsessed garden snail who dreams of being the World's greatest race car driver who wants to win the Indianapolis 500. He gets his chance when a freak accident imbues him with high-octane speed. But he soon learns he'll need the help of his friends if he's going to go the distance.

It is quite an adventure for *Turbo – an underdog who achieves the impossible by refusing to let his limitations get in the way of his dreams.

Global Design Project - 'Sketch Challenge' #gdp066

Hi there, and welome to my blog.

If you visit me regularly, you may know that I love challenging myself by entering Challenges every week with the Global Design Project.

This week I was really stuck on a creation for this weeks 'Sketch Challenge' #gdp066 - I was overthinking it. Do you do the same?

I had an idea. Tried it, and meh. Another idea came to mind, and again, meh! So, with the third idea I am pretty happy with how my creation has turned out.

A tropical Christmas floral wreath using the 'Botanical Builder Framelits Dies'. 
I used the gorgeous 'Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper' & coordinating 'Glitter Ribbon Combo Pack' in Sweet Sugarplum for the bow.

'Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper' makes for a lovely wreath to build on. And a sentiment of PEACE from the 'Holly Jolly Greetings' stampset.

Global Design Project - 'Colour Challenge' #gdp065

Don't you just love a Sneak peek?

I have made 3 cards, and I hope you love them as much as I do?

My friend has 3 chickens; 'Nutmeg', 'Nugget' & 'Jasmine' and I couldn't help but name these girls the same!

'Nutmeg' wants you to 'Have a happy day!'

I stamped all 3 chickens using 'Basic Black Archival Stampin' Pad' onto 'Shimmery White' cardstock - a wonderful cardstock for Watercoluring & using 'Blender Pens' for colouring.

Layering with some 'Early Espresso' cardstock to frame the image.

 'Nugget' - such a fun name that suits this little chicken so much! 'Hey, Chick!'

I waterwashed the chickens with an 'Aqua Painter' and 'Crumb Cake Ink Refill' - dropping the ink into the lid of the 'Crumb Cake Stampin' Pad' and smooshing the images.

Using a 'Sponge Dauber', I daubed around the edges of the DSP  with 'Crumb Cake' to give it a lift from the coordinating cardstock underneath.

'Jasmine' thinks 'You're a good egg!'

I coloured all the 'feathers' & darker lines using a 'Blender Pen' and 'Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad'.

And 'Real Red & Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Markers' for the combs & beaks, and feet.

I edged the chickens with a light colouring using a 'Blender Pen' and 'Crumb Cake' ink.

And a lovely bit of 'Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine' in Real Red with a bow to finish my cards.
