Welcome to the Stamping Sunday Design Team Blog Hop.

I'm Denita, from Australia - you may be starting with me, or have hopped from Mikaela in the UK?

It's the 3rd Sunday in the month of July, and our creations follow our theme; 'Bish, Bash, Bosh!'. A theme based on our top tips.

I just love a tip when you cut your cardstock for card bases.
So wherever you are, you can make the most of your piece of cardstock and little waste, or use the most of the scraps.
My love of making 6 tiny notecards from 1 piece of A4 cardstock (Metric with leftover for sentiments), and American cardstock (Imperial) is my favourite tip!

A4: Trim to measure 21cm x 28 cm (and keep the 1.7cm piece for sentiments)
Cut the cardstock in half; 14cm 21cm
Trim into 1/3's measuring 7cm x 14cm for 6 notecards
Score at 7cm

US: Trim to measure 8-1/4" x 11"
Cut the cardstock in half; 5-1/2" x 8-1/4"
Trim into 1/3's measuring 2-3/4" x 5-1/2" for 6 notecards
Score at 2-3/4"

Voila!
1 little notecard measuring 7cm x 14cm; scored & folded at 7cm.
US; 2-3/4" x 5-1/2" scored & folded at 2-3/4".
I love the daisy pattern from the 'Delightfully Eclectic 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper', die cut using the 'Stitched with Whimsy Dies' and 'Sending Smiles' stamp set for the sentiments and coordinating 'Sending Dies' label die.

The Designer Series Paper, sentiments and embellishments can absolutely make your little notecard something special.
The daisies and leaves are made from the 'Paper Florist Dies'.

1. Die cut the 6cm x 6cm Designer Series Paper, and adhere to the notecard card front.
2. Attach 'Mini Stampin' Dimensionals' to the back of the sentiments, and adhere to the notecard card front.
3. Adhere the daisies to the card front.
4. Add 'Bakers Twine' to the notecards as desired.

Lastly, add the 'Soft Sea Foam' die cut leaves.

The notecards and dies used to create my notecards.
You can use any Designer Series Paper, dies, sentiments and embellishments to create your unique notecards, and all thanks to your imagination.

Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop - Core colour + In Color

23:00

It's the first Sunday in the month of July, which means it's Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop time!

Thankyou for joining me, and you may be here after visiting Sara Nell in the US or you have started with me in Australia.

Our theme this month is '1 New Core Colour + 1 New In Colour + White'... get ready for a fun Colour Challenge and get hopping with the rest of the Design Team at the bottom of my post.

I had a little trouble deciding the 2 colours that would coordinate together, and I looked at the 5 NEW In Colors seeing that 'Boho Blue' is almost the blue from Wedgwood blue and white Jasperware.

I also used a touch of NEW 'Azure Afternoon' which is very similar to Wedgwood dark blue Jasperware, and together with 'Boho Blue' and 'Basic White' makes for a lovely card.

I die cut the beautiful rose pattern from 'Designer Tags Dies' using 'Boho Blue' cardstock.
Removing the die carefully, the pieces remained and I adhered the die cut card front to 'Azure Afternoon' cardstock.

I repeated the die cutting, this time using 'Basic White' cardstock.
Adding a tiny touch of 'Multipurpose Liquid Glue' to the 'Boho Blue' pieces, I overlayed the 'Basic White' pieces pressing gently and lifting the stencil away.
*You might have to realign the 'Basic White' pieces to the 'Boho Blue' pieces using the 'Take Your Pick Tool'.

  • Stamp the sentiment from 'Circle Sayings' stamp set, using 'Azure Afternoon' ink onto 'Basic White' cardstock.
  • Die cut the label from the 'Designer Tags Dies'.
  • Die cut a 2nd 'Basic White' label - cutting to the pattern only. Take the die away, snip the label so it fits to the underneath of the stamped label and adhere.
  • Die cut the end of the label die using 'Boho Blue' cardstock, and adhere the pieces to the top of the 'Basic White' pattern.

Wrap 'White' twine around the top of the card, securing with 'Mini Glue Dots'.
Loop through double twine and tie a bow to the card front, securing the label with 'Mini Glue Dots.

Next up is Mikalea from the UK, with her beautiful Colour Challenge creation.

Thankyou for visiting, and I hope you enjoyed my creation?
Looking forward to seeing you next month for our August hop. D x
