Jar of Love - Global Design Project 'Sketch Challenge' #gdp046 & 'Cut it Out' tgifc65

Hello there. I have created for 2 Challenges this week; Global Design Project 'Sketch Challenge' #gdp046 and TGIF Challenges #tgifc65 - 'Cut it Out'.

And here is my creation...
I have used the gorgeous 'Jar of Love Bundle' right to the GDP Sketch; and it so happens that all of the stamped flowers, leaves and mini Mason Jar were all cut out using the coordinating dies and the Big Shot! That is how I was able to combine both Challenges.

I used the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment from the 'Balloon Celebration' stampset. And finished with some 'Burlap Ribbon' and an adorable 'Bow Paper Clip'.

Thankyou so much for visiting my blog. Hoping you get the opportunity to join in the fun of a Challenge - it's a lot of fun. Have a wonderful week. D x

PS: My creation for last weeks 'Colour Challenge' #gdp045 was a Special Mention. Yay, and 'Thankyou' GDP Design Team!

'Sunshine Wishes' Global Design Project - Colour Challenge #gdp045

Hello, and welcome to my blog. This week the Global Design Project have a Colour Challenge #gdp045, and also an incredible opportunity as ONE selected winner will be a 'Guest Designer' for the following Colour Challenge! So I am going to #bringit!
Here is my creation for this weeks Colour Challenge...

The gorgeous die cut heart is from the 'Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies' and the mini 'Melon Mambo' flowers are from the 'Botanical Builder Framelits Dies'.

I waterwashed 'Shimmery White' cardstock using 'Melon Mambo' ink and my trusty 'Aquapainter'. The waterwash gives a softer outcome, and the 'Shimmery White' cardstock is lovely to use when watercolouring. Underneath, I have 2 die cut hearts from 'Melon Mambo' cardstock, to make the heart more sturdy and to lift it from the mat.

Have you noticed the font covered paper in the 'Designer Series Paper Stack'? I found the sweetest sentiment; 'love this life together', and using my 'Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker' drew over the white font to bring the sentiment to life.

Thankyou for taking the time to have read this far! I hope to have inspired you?, and you can get your craft on and join in this weeks Colour Challenge - click here for the Schedule.
Have a wonderful week. D x

'From me to You' - Kylie Bertucci's International Stampin' Up! Blog Highlight

| on
18:30
Hello and welcome to my blog! The ever amazing Kylie Bertucci has organised this International Stampin' Up! Blog Highlight, and it's an opportunity to send someone some 'Sunshine' in the mail.
And you can vote for your favourite/s by clicking here!

The theme for this Blog Highlight is:
'From me to you when you are feeling blu' #frommetoyouwhenyouarefeelingblu
So with a thought on how to make someone feel a little better, or to let someone know you are thinking of them, this is my creation:

I went about to make my creation by using the 'Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack', followed by the 'Friendly Wishes' stampset. This cheered me up no end, and I think it would make someone happy too. And how lovely to receive a handmade card in the mail?

The 'Serene Scenery DSP Stack' is just a little bit gorgeous, don't you think? I couldn't go past the sunshine on the grass scene for my card, coordinating with 'Delightful Dijon' and 'Tip Top Taupe' for my card base.
(My 6 year old preferred the 'Tip Top Taupe' cardstock over 'Crumb Cake' cardstock.)
And the coordinating colours are fabulous too:
Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, Delightful Dijon, Island Indigo, Old Olive, Pool Party & Whisper White.

I have something for you... for those who leave me a comment (which I love to receive), I will choose a person at random to send you my 'I'm always here for you' card.
Whether it's a ray of sunshine in the mail being sent to you, or you have someone in mind to send or give my card to, then that's all that matters.
And don't forget to vote for your favourite creation/s while you're at it! Vote here!

Thankyou for visiting. Have a sunshiney day. D x

'Timeless Textures' - CASE the Designer Global Design Project #gdp044

12:51
Hello! I have a creation I designed for this weeks 'CASE the Designer' Challenge for the Global Design Project #gdp044.
This week we are CASEing Artisan Design Team & Global Design Team Member, Steffi Helmschrott. I just love Steffi's style!

CASE: Copy And Share Everything.
Remember with the Case the Designer Challenge you can choose to take whatever you like from the card that inspires you. It can be the stamp set, the colours, the layout, whatever you like!
Here is my CASE of Steffi's card:

I was inspired by the gorgeous gold butterfly on Steffi's card, however I have used Copper accents. The copper inlaid paper from the 'Affectionately Yours Designer Series Paper' makes a beautiful butterfly. The sentiment heat embossed using the divine 'Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder' and a smidge of 'Copper Metallic Thread' underneath the 'Vellum' circle.

Cards on the production line ready to be made up, and looking so pretty with all that Copper! I have made a handful of these notecards to give to some of my gorgeous Stampin' Up! friends - I hope they like them?
And the dimensions for you:
Crumb Cake card base 19cm x 7cm (scored at 9.5cm)
Shimmery White mat 9cm x 6cm

Thankyou for visiting and have a fantastic weekend. D x

'Fairy Celebration' - Global Design Project #gdp043

I love a 'Theme' Challenge, and the Global Design Project #gdp043 has just that this week; 'Party!'. Check out the Design Teams creations to be inspired, and why not add your own creation to the link? You have until next Monday to play along, and it's so much fun!

It just so happens that I was finishing off Birthday Party invitations for my little friend, Eve. Eve turns 4 in August, and her lovely Mum asked me to make 20 Fairy Invitations for Eve's Fairy Birthday party. The Fairy colours were chosen, and here are my 'Party' Theme creations:

I embossed 'Whisper White' cardstock using the 'Confetti Textured Impression Folder'. The oval in the middle was a perfect fit for the sweetest colours; 'Pool Party' & 'Sweet Sugarplum' cardstock ovals, and the main centrepiece for the darling little fairy and her fairy dust.

I stamped the Fairy from 'Fairy Celebration' stampset and coloured her using a 'Blender Pen'. Her wings are Vellum cardstock, heat embossed with 'Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter' and punched with the 'Bitty Butterfly Punch'. A-dor-a-ble!

Intentionally leaving the front plain of wording, this leaves the invitation free to make a card front, pop into a frame, or even use as  a Project Life pocket page. What a great idea!

And a sprinkling of fairy dust...

I typed up a simple invitation to fit the oval on the back, and stamped a mushroom from the 'Foxy Friends' stampset to sit in the corner. Cute!

*Eve was invited to a 'Fairy' party a couple of months back, and I made the invitations for my little friend Grace. This is where Eve's Mum had the idea to ask me to create for her Fairy Birthday party all because I had my name on the back of the invitations.
I love what I do!

I hope you have enjoyed my post, and thankyou for being here. I love hearing from you and you are more than welcome to leave me a 'Comment'. Have a magical day... D x

Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop - 'Gifts from the Garden'

| on
00:00
Hello, and welcome to the July 'Creation Station Design Team' Blog Hop! This month we are creating beautiful projects using Garden Themed Stamp sets and coordinating products. You will not be disappointed with the talent of my fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators and their creations.
To make sure you get to see everyone's amazing projects, click on the 'BACK' & 'NEXT' buttons at the bottom of my post.

We are in the middle of Winter in Australia, and I managed to get some 'Summer' time colour and warmth with my projects by using the absolutely divine 'Fruit Stand' Designer Series Paper & coordinating 'Fruit Stand' A4 Cardstock!

My little Gift Boxes turned out better than I imagined. I used different ribbons and twine to pretty up the packaging, and of course they coordinate beautifully.
I want to share with you the tutorial I found.
Click here to be taken to Christina's blog and get ready to make your own cute boxes & lids.
All you need is: a 'Stampin' Trimmer' to cut & score your 'DSP' for the lid and 'Cardstock' for the bottom, 'Paper Snips' and 'Multipurpose Liquid Glue' or an adhesive of your choice.

Inside the boxes; filled with coordinating treats! Did you notice the packing paper lined inside the boxes? It's a perfect fit: 2 strips criss-crossed at 6.5cm x 19.2cm (2 9/16" x 7 9/16") and enough to cover the treats before popping the lid on. How's that for recycling?

I also made some cards to go with the boxes... The sentiment is the same on all the cards as I purposely made a bunch for any occasion using the 'Perfectly Wrapped' stampset. All you need to do is add an appropriate sentiment inside the card. Or not.

The 'Hardwood' Background stamp was used to make the wood panel circle and I used the '2" Circle Punch' for the backing cardstock circle and 'Layering Circle Framelits Dies' for the 'Hardwood' circle.

This card & gift box remind me of Fruit Salad. Yummy, yummy!

And the strawberry patch.

I love the 'Fruit Stand' Designer Series Paper. It's so pretty and colourful and I couldn't wait to use it!
And here is something wonderful; you can buy a Cardstock pack of 24 sheets (8 sheets of each colour) of the 'Fruit Stand A4 Cardstock' consisting of: Pear Pizzazz, Peakaboo Peach & Watermelon Wonder, to coordinate beautifully with the 'Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper'. How clever!!!

I hope you get a chance to purchase yourself the 'Fruit Stand Suite' of products. I didn't use the 'Fresh Fruit' stampset but that doesn't mean you need to miss out on this gorgeous stampset.

Get yourself ready to keep on hopping... the lovely Holly is up next, or you can go back to see the lovely Sara.
Thankyou so much for being here. D x
