Something for Baby Global Design Project #GDP003

Hello and welcome to my blog.
It's Week 3 of the Global Design Project Challenge and this weeks theme is 'Baby'. Make sure you check out the GDP blog and see all the Design Teams creations; such beautiful inspiration, and I hope you get on board and join in the fun too.
I have made 2 Baby cards this week:

I was unable to make up my mind to create a baby boy or baby girl card? So there is 1 of each and complete with a cute little onesie.
I have used Stampin' Up! products: 'Something for Baby' stampset & co-ordinating 'Baby's First Framelits', 'English Garden DSP' for both cards, and 'A Dozen Thoughts' stampset for the sentiments.
The hearts are from the 'Confetti Hearts Border' Punch and I have used the gorgeous 'Melon Mambo Cotton Ribbon'.
The stars are from the 'Confetti Stars Border' Punch and I had a small amount of retired 'Hello Honey' ribbon to finish this little baby boy card.

Thankyou for taking the time to visit and you can always leave a comment. No pressure. D x

Global Design Project Winners #gdp002

So this happened yesterday...
Winners of the Global Design Project Sketch Challenge were announced, and my creation was one of the Top 3 chosen by the GDP Team. There were 70 exceptional entries this week, and to choose 1, let alone 3 winners, would have been a task.
Join in the fun for the next Challenge AEST 7pm. You can check the Schedule here. And I will be sure to post the link to remind you.
I came up with this creation over the weekend, using a new stampset 'Lighthearted Leaves' from the Holiday Catalogue. A simple & sweet notecard for Christmas.
I am loving this stampset - one of my favourites at the moment.

You can order this gorgeous stampset 'Lighthearted Leaves' from my Online Store here.

and there are matching 'Leaflets Framelits Dies' - for those with a Big Shot. Click here for the link to my Online Store.

Thankyou for taking the time to stop by. Leave a comment if you would like; I love receiving them.

Choose Happiness Global Design Project #GDP002

It's already Week 2 of the Global Design Project Challenge, and this week is a Sketch Challenge.
Here it is:
And here is my card based on the sketch using the 'Choose Happiness' stampset.
I started out by using one of my favourite Neutrals, and New In Colour 'Tip Top Taupe' for the card base and mat. Using my sewing machine, I stitched around the edges of the top mat. Sewing on cardstock is so fun and gives a beautiful finish. I daubed around the edges using 'Tip Top Taupe' Ink, and then roughened the edges using the edge of my snips. This finish gives my card a rustic look - and in real life it looks like suede.
The leaves were stamped and coloured using a Blender Pen and fussy cut and adhered to the vellum circle using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen; perfect for all the tiny leaves and branches. The little bird was cut out, and sits on top of the branch using Stampin' Dimensionals. Other details used: English Garden DSP, Vellum, and Burlap Ribbon.

And last but not least, the inside of my card. It's so nice to finish the inside of a card. As I don't have a sentiment on the front of my card, the sentiment is perfect on the inside and then prettied up with the leaves stamped onto the top and bottom of the insert.

Why not check out the Global Design Project for yourself and join in the fun? You can also see last weeks Winners of the Colour Challenge here. The Design Team are pretty amazing too - click onto their projects and leave them a comment. It's nice to get a comment every now and then <3

Thankyou so much for stopping by x

Global Design Project #GDP001

Welcome to my blog, and to get things started I have entered a Challenge.

Today is the day! A new blog for me and a Stampin' Up! creation entered into the Global Design Project Challenge #GDP001.

The Global Design Project is a brand new blog, as of September 7th, and the Design Team along with their creations are not only amazing, but so inspiring too. You must check out this blog and meet the talented Design Team and see their beyond amazing creations.

Every week will be a new Challenge, and this week is a Colour Challenge:
and here is my creation using one of my favourite stampsets 'You're Sublime'...

I am gathering some bits and pieces for a Housewarming Gift, and I thought a little packet of seeds for the garden is a great start. I created a little pocket from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and I made an envelope, using the Envelope Punch Board, containing some seeds. I have managed to use the three colours for the challenge, and at the beginning I was challenged!

A close up of some of the details - a tiny bow using Smoky Slate Thick Baker's Twine and a touch of Dazzling Details to the centre of the flower. Unfortunately, the bling of the glitter didn't come to life in my photographs.

All the flowers, centres, leaves and parts of the wheel barrow were fussy cut separately, and adhered to a stamped image. The front three flowers are lifted using Stampin' Dimensionals and the Dazzling Details added to the centre of the flowers for a lovely, glittery effect.

I am a bit nervous and excited all at once. I have finally started a blog and I hope to keep you inspired with my creations and keep you up to date with the latest products, Catalogues and ideas for your own papercrafting fun.
