The Inspire.Create.Stamping Challenges Design Team are about to show you our 'Cute Critters' creations.
Do you have a favourite stamp set, Bundle or Suite with 'Cute Critters'?
If you do, then you should join us and create a project, and add it to our gallery here.

So, there are a couple of stamp sets I just love with some 'Cute Critters', and I may have made a few items to inspire you....
Get ready for some 'Cute Critters' cuteness!

Straight up is a card using the 'Snail Mail Suite'.

I stamped the heart image all over the postage stamp die.
And that sweet snail - I found a coordinating die that die cuts him from the Designer Series Paper!
Yep, only found out after I fussy cut a snail for my 3D creation below (palm to forehead).

Adding a 'hello' sentiment stamped straight onto the Designer Series Paper, and a touch of 'Whisper White Twine' and a bow.

Introducing my fussy cut snail!
This is totally fine if you don't have the coordinating dies, however, the ease of die cutting is so good!

The how to make this box, thanks to pootles.co.uk

And to make the most of cutting the divine Designer Series Paper, I have made a gift tag too.
Measuring 5cm x 10.5cm prior to punching with the 'Delightful Tag Topper Punch'.

And how cute are the Kangaroos from the 'Kangaroo and Company Bundle'?

A sweet little love note popping from the pouch.

A cute Valentine's Day or Anniversary card for someone special.

And a matchy matchy gift box!

Envelope Die from the 'Snail Mail Suite'.

A perfect fit for the 'Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack'!

A really cute card and gift box duo, mixing the Snails and Kangaroos beautifully.

Thankyou for making it this far... and I hope to have inspired you with my 'Cute Critters'? What 'Cute Critters' are you wanting to play with? Don't forget to add them to our gallery.
See you next time. Keep safe & well. D x

Just Add Ink - 'Just Choose Two' Challenge #539

Oh, what a fun Challenge the Just Add Ink Design Team have this week!
We would love for you to join in the fun, and 'Choose Two'; Banner-Border-Bow, for this weeks Challenge. Add your project to our gallery here.

I may have chosen all 3 elements for my creation, as I had to add the 'Linen Thread' bow!

A little shabby chic creation using the 'Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper'
as the centrepiece.
I have covered the DSP with some 'Vellum' cardstock die cut with a 'Stitched Rectangles Die', to soften the look.

Border:
I embossed the 'Soft Suede' cardstock using the 'Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder.
Next, I placed the 'Ornate Layers Die' over the top of the embosssed cardstock, along with the 'Stitched Rectangles Die', and ran through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine'.
Add some 'Multipurpose Liquid Glue' into the corners, and drop onto the 'Gilded Leafing Embellishment'.
Allow to dry for approx 10 minutes, using a 'Sponge' to remove the excess 'Gilded Leafing for a fun effect on the frame.
*Follow the same technique for the corners of the sentiment.

The 'Linen Thread' fits perfectly into the tiny holes of the die cut border, and I tied a bow adhering to the side of the sentiment.

Thankyou for paying me a visit, and please go see what the JAI Design Team have created to inspire you.
See you soon, take care and have fun creating. D x

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Gilded Leafing

| on

Hello, and welcome to my blog.

You are visiting me in Australia, and you may have hopped to me from Lynsay in Canada. Check the links below to keep on hopping...

Get ready to feast your eyes on the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop, as the Design Team are featuring a fabulous NEW product; 'Gilded Leafing'.

I have created a couple of cards based on the Japanese Art of 'Kintsugi' - repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of the breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold.
Built on the idea that in embracing flaws and imperfections, you can create an even stronger, more beautiful piece of art.

My first card front was an experiment using 'Fine Tip Glue' and 'Gilded Leafing', on the Bermuda Bay 'Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper'.

I stamped the flowers and leaves images using 'Coastal Cabana' ink, stamping off the ink as the ombre effect became lighter.
I then added the 'Fine Tip Glue' looking like the paper was 'broken', then added the 'Gilded Leafing' leaving drying time for approximately 10 minutes.

I brushed away the excess 'Gilded Leafing' leaving a somewhat splattering of the
effect I wanted to create.
However, I finished the card by mounting onto 'Basic Black' cardstock, and adding the 'For You' sentiment for a little simplicity.

My second card is using the 2" off cut from the 'Oh So Ombre DSP'.
I used 'Multipurpose Liquid Glue' for the 'broken' effect, adding the 'Gilded Leafing' and drying for 10 minutes.
This time the 'Kintsugi' was a little more to what I imagined.

I coloured 'Whisper White' cardstock with 'Coastal Cabana' ink using the NEW 'Blending Brushes'.
Stamping the sentiment, die cutting with 'Stitched Shapes Dies' and adding more 'Multipurpose Liquid Glue' and repeating the process.

I added a little bit of texture by adding a layer of 'Basic Black' cardstock embossed with the 'Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder'.

Thankyou for visiting me, and keep on hopping to see what Ruth has in store... see the link to the Design Team Blog list below.

Looking forward to seeing you next time.
Stay well and keep safe. D x
