Just Add Ink - Sketch Challenge #406

Hello, and welcome to my blog.
This week is a Sketch Challenge for Just Add Ink - 'Just Add a Sketch' Challenge #406
Join in the fun and add your project to our gallery here.

My 2 boys love anything about Nature, and they were watching a documentary on the Endangered Orange-Bellied Parrot. My inspiration came from my boys, and the retiring 'Bird Banter' stamp set.

My Orange-Bellied Parrots, watercoloured with 'Water Color Pencils' and a 'Blender Pen'.
I have used 'Basic Gray', 'Bermuda Bay', 'Daffodil Delight', 'Old Olive' & 'Pumpkin Pie'.
(I have also used the 'Lemon Lime Twist' Watercolor Pencil from the 'Lots of Happy Card Kit'.)

A close up of these sweet parrots, sitting on a branch - die cut from the 'Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies'.

A perfectly fitting sentiment for the inside of my card.
And a little bit of flower detail.

Here, you can see the 'Woodland TIEF'.
I have applied it to the card base on the debossed side.

Thankyou so much for visiting. The JAI Design Team have some gorgeous Sketch Challenge creations to get you inspired. We can't wait to see what you create.

I love this Colour Challenge for the 'Colour INKspiration Blog Hop' #CI32, and I know you will love it too.
Play along, and add your project to our Challenge gallery here.

Below you will see a gorgeous swatch of colours, and the inspiration photo for our Colour Challenge #CI32.

Night of Navy, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White & Gold Foil

I have used one of my favourite (and retiring) stamp sets; 'Heart Happiness'.
The sentiment is also one of my favourites (and retiring); from the 'Weather Together' stamp set.

I embossed the floral heart using 'White Stampin' Emboss Powder'.
I coloured with 'Pink Pirouette' and 'Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Markers'.
Adding the 'Gold Foil' scallop circle and some 'Gold Metallic Thread'.

This is the perfect Wedding, Anniversary or whatever reason to be celebrating 'Love' card.

Next on the hop is Rebecca, and I can't wait to see what she has created.

Thankyou for visiting, and I hope to see your Colour Challenge creations in our gallery. D x

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Memories and More

Welcome to my blog, and to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop.
This month we are showcasing the 'Memories & More' coordinating card packs; perfect for card making, memory keeping or any other project you desire.

I am Denita, and I live in Australia. You may have hopped from Danielle in the Netherlands, or you have started with me. You are bound to be inspired by our Design Teams creations, and the list of participants is at the bottom of my post.

I have created a card - I found the Black & White diagonal striped card front from the 'Perfect Days Card Pack'.
Cannot get enough of the 'Emerald Envy Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon' either. This is a retiring In Colour & product, however, I will be making to most of this ribbon until May 31st.

The sentiment is stamped from the 'Oh So Eclectic' stamp step onto a Hexagonal sticker found within the card pack.
I backed the hexagon with some 'Lemon Lime Twist' cardstock and wound some 'Silver Metallic Thread' to the back.

My little gift box of cuteness.
Made from 1 of the large card fronts found in the card pack.

Measurements of card: 4" × 5 1/4" (10.2 × 13.3cm)
  • Score 1" on short side - this is the bottom of the box
  • Score 1 1/2"/2 1/2"/4"/5" on the long side.
  • Snip the score lines up to the 1" score line, and cut away the small rectangle piece at the 5" line (as shown above).
  • Burnish score lines with a Bone Folder.
  • Add adhesive to the small tab running alongside the 5" score line and fold the opposing side to assemble.
  • Fold bottom tabs to form the bottom of the box; smaller 2 tabs first, then adhere the larger tabs to close together.

Thankyou for being here, and visiting my blog.

Below are my Stamping Sunday Design Team friends; they are all amazing and super talented. Visit their blogs for some awesome inspiration using Stampin' Up! 'Memories & More'.
Happy Sunday! D x
