Just Add Ink - Inspiration Challenge #461

The Just Add Ink Challenge Blog has an 'Inspiration Challenge' #461 this week.
The Design Team have some serious creations for you, and
you are going to love them all!

Such a beautiful photo for our inspiration... and we can't wait for you to join in too!
Add your creation to our JAI Blog Challenge Gallery here.

I have used a mix of 'Basic Gray' cardstock for the Card base & sentiment, and 'Basic Gray' ink for the stem of the flower. 'Gray Granite' cardstock for the card front & mat, and 'Smoky Slate' for the fern images stamped into the corners.
I have stamped the Daisy image with 'Daffodil Delight' ink onto 'So Saffron' cardstock.
Don't you just love the 'Perrenial Essence Floral Centre'?

The sentiment comes from the retired 'Wishing You Well' stampset, as I don't have a sentiment from the NEW Annual Catalogue.
I have coloured some 'Whisper White Baker's Twine' with the 'Dark Daffodil Delight' Stampin' Blends Marker', and wound it around the sentiment.

My Sympathy card using the NEW 'Daisy Lane' stamp set.
It wasn't in my initial thought process, however, sometimes we need to create a card to reach out to someone for their loss.

Thankyou for visiting my blog, and hop around to visit the talent of the JAI Design Team. See you next time. D x

Inspire.Create.Stamping Challenges Blog Hop - Theme Challenge #045

The Inspire.Create.Stamping Challenges Design Team have had a whole lot of fun with our new Theme Challenge; 'Embossing'.
And there is another fun part, where you get to create something with our Theme Challenge, and submit to our Blog Challenge page gallery - click here to enter the gallery.

I have used 3 different forms of 'Embossing' for my creation, and I have also used the NEW 'Free as a Bird Bundle'.

1. 'Heat Embossing' - using 'Embossing Powder' and a 'Heat Tool' to turn stamp images into glossy raised designs.
2. 'Stitched Nested Labels Dies' - create faux stitching and unique die cuts with a quick run through a die-cutting and embossing machine.
3. 'Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder' - place cardstock in the embossing folder, and run it through a die-cutting and embossing machine and the cardstock is transformed with a textured design.

Prepare the 'Sahara Sand' cardstock with an 'Embossing Buddy', to prevent extra powder sticking to your project.
I stamped the birds on a branch image onto the cardstock using the 'Versamark Pad',
then covered the image with 'White Stampin' Emboss Powder.
Grab your 'Heat Tool' and watch the powder melt to form a glossy raised design ready to colour.

I coloured the birds with a 'Blender Pen', and a combination of 'Crumb Cake', Soft Suede' & 'Early Espresso' ink. The tummy is coloured with 'Seaside Spray' and I daubed a touch of 'Coastal Cabana' on top.
The flowers are a combination of 'Flirty Flamingo' & 'Melon Mambo' ink, and the leaves are 'Old Olive' & 'Soft Suede' ink.

I heat embossed the 'White Stampin' Emboss Powder' onto 'Basic Black' cardstock for the sentiment, and used 'Paper Snips' to cut the sentiment.
The 'Magnolia Ribbon Combo Pack' is just beautiful, and it looks lovely featured with my little birds.

Thankyou for visiting my blog, and I hope to have inspired you with my 'Embossing' creation?
See you for the next Challenge. D x

Colour INKspiration #CI57

Hello, and welcome to my blog!
The Colour INKspiration Crew have the lovliest of Colours combined
for our Colour Challenge #CI57.
We would love to see what you create, and you can add your project to our gallery here.

You may have joined me from Rachel's blog, and her wonderful creation. There is a whole lot more to see with our Crew's projects, and the colour combination is below:

Lovely Lipstick, Daffodil Delight & Granny Apple Green.

I couldn't help but use the pineapple from the *Host stamp set 'Time for Tags',
and the coordinating 'Timeless Label Punch'.
*As a host you can earn free products, get discounts, and order exclusive products (only available for our hosts) with our Stampin’ Rewards program. For example, if your party sales are $150, you’ll have $15 to spend on whatever you’d like!
It’s our way of saying thank you!

The 'Stampin' Blends Markers' in 'Daffodil Delight Combo' & 'Granny Apple Green Combo' were perfect to colour my pineapple.

I added the 'Lovely Lipstick' element, by making tags with the 'Tag Topper Scalloped Punch', then embossing the tags using the 'Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder'.
The Baker's Twine was coloured with the 'Dark Basic Black' Stampin' Blends Marker.

Packaged Pineapple Lumps!
After visiting New Zealand for OnStage in April, I saw the pack of Pineapple Lumps in the supermarket, and made a little treat for my Class ladies.

The colour coordination is out of control!

Up next is Cathy, and her very pretty take using the Challenge colours.

Thankyou for visiting, and I hope you have enjoyed my very quick & easy make?
Don't forget to join in with our Challenge, and you will find a ton of inspiration from our Crew.
See you next time. D x
