It's a Colour Challenge with the Colour INKspiration Crew Blog Hop, and welcome to my blog. You can visit our Facebook page and you can enter the Challenge too. Let's see what you can create?

How's this for a Colour INKspiration Colour Challenge? Lots of gorgeous colours, and if you're game you can include all 8 colours or you can choose 4 to get yourself into the action.

Colours: Whisper White, Night of Navy, Elegant Eggplant, Cherry Cobbler, Flirty Flamingo, Dapper Denim, Smoky Slate & Peekaboo Peach.

How sweet is the 'Little One' stamp set? That little Teepee is just the cutest, filled with comfy cushions and a little bunny waiting for a play date. I have kept to the Colour Swatch in a very subdued way; keeping it somewhat neutral for a baby boy or girl.

I have used  '2016-2018 'Stampin' Write Markers' to colour the cushions. There's some 'Dapper Denim' & 'Smoky Slate' stripes and a couple of cushions in 'Flirty Flamingo' & 'Peekaboo Peach'. And the 'Whisper White Notecards & Envelopes' are a perfect size for this little creation.

Keep on hopping for more colour inspiration. Next up is the wonderfully talented Nicole Wilson, and you won't want to miss what Nicole has created.

Thankyou for visiting and enjoy our Blog Hop. D x

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Embossing Paste

| on
18:00
Hello. It's Sunday evening, and there is a little Blog Hop that you won't want to miss.
I am part of the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Crew hosted by Sara Levin, and we get to showcase some really cool stuff... like, 'Embossing Paste'

Yep - Stampin' Up! have intoduced this gorgeous and awesomely messy stuff into the NEW Annual Catalogue, and you are about to see some wonderful creations and inspiration.

First up is my version of a red brick house.
I just had to make this little house, and as much as I am a crafter, I would not get a job as a brick layer. However, I think this is just the cutest little red brick house on the block.

Get yourself approx 2 teaspoons of Embossing Paste from the tub, and dollop the paste onto a saucer. I added 3 drops of 'Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Ink Refill' to get my desired red brick colour (anything less was too pink). Stir in the reinker and voila, you have some beautifully coloured Embossing Paste.

Spread the coloured Embossing Paste over the top of the 'Brick' style mask onto a wall of your 'Home Sweet Home' die cut; 1 wall at a time until dry, then repeat.

Whilst the walls of your little house are drying, die-cut the window frames, door & frame, and flower boxes.
Flowers! The flower boxes needed some sweet little 'Powder Pink' & 'Flirty Flamingo' flowers.

The 'Burlap Ribbon' bunting is a lovely distraction from my brick laying effort! And those teeny tiny 'Linen Thread' bows holding the bunting in place. Stop the cuteness.

And for something totally not anything to do with a cute tiny house.

I must admit when I saw the 'Message in a Bottle' stamp set I just loved Stampin' Up! even more. I love a Blog page with a matchy-matchy stamp set. Card dimensions: 4" x 4"
I have used the Embossing Paste as a background to the little stamped images. This is so fun to do.

Such little pretties all in a row!

1. Die-cut a temporary circle *template using a Circle die and some scrap cardstock.
*For a more permanent template use 'Window Sheets'.
2. Use washi tape to hold the template in place.
3. Spread a thin layer of the Embossing Paste directly from the jar over the circle and let semi-dry.
4. Allow drying time approx 5 minutes and remove the template.
5. Press a 'Textured Impression Embossing Folder' using your hands onto the semi-dried paste to get a lovely textured effect. Do not use the Big Shot for this effect.
6. Die-cut finished product ready to make your creation.

TIP: Wash your palette knives and masks straight away, as the Embossing Paste dries very quickly onto the tools.

Thankyou for visiting my blog and I hope you have enjoyed my Embossing Paste creations.
There are so many ways to use the Embossing Paste, and below there are links to see what the rest of the crew have created. You are going to love visiting each and every blog.
Have a wonderful Sunday. D x

Global Design Project - 'CASE the Designer' #gdp092

I love it when the Global Design Project has a 'CASE the Designer' Challenge #gdp092.
This week we are CASEing the amazing Steffi Helmschrott, from Germany.
Steffi's creations are absolutley divine, and I love her colouring.
CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

I could not wait to use my 'Message in a Bottle' stamp set. As soon as I saw the Challenge project, my creative went into overdrive and this is what I came up with!

'You Float my Boat'! Yes, you do.
Can you see the divine 'Dapper Denim' ombre 'Color Theory DSP Stack' sandwiched between the cardstock? It's divine!

I used 'Stampin' Write Markers' to colour my stamps. With such intricate detail of the masts, sails & flags of the mini ship, using a Marker makes life easy when colouring stamps because they have 2 ends; a brush tip and a fine tip.

The 'Stampin' Write Markers' I have used for my creation:
Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Smoky Slate, Marina Mist & Real Red.

How cute is this stamp set? I must say 'Stampin' Up! have excelled themselves with this set, and coordinating well with my Blog design don't you think?

Thankyou for visiting today, and I hope you get creating for this weeks fun Challenge. Have a wonderful day. D x
