Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop - Holiday Happenings

I can't believe it's the first Sunday in the month of December, 2022!
But it really is!
The Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop is here, and our theme this month is 'Holiday Happenings'.
You may be visiting me from my beautiful friend Sara Levin in the US, or you are starting with me? Enjoy and be inspired by our Blog Hop.

To be honest, I cannot wait to start our Summer Holidays in Australia.
We are on the countdown to Christmas, and my creations are for an Aussie Christmas complete with Koalas and Eucalyptus Leaves.

Gift Tags!
My favourite little things to make.

This little tag started with the stamped Koalas from the 'Count on Me' stamp set.
I coloured the Koalas using 'Smoky Slate' & 'Crumb Cake' Stampin' Blends Markers. Adding a touch of 'Color Lifter' for some little highlights.
Those teeny red sequins are small silver sequins coloured with 'Dark Real Red' Stampin' Blends Marker. Adhered with a little dab of 'Multipurpose Liquid Glue'.

'Merry Christmas' sentiment is from the 'Kindest Gnomes' stamp set.
The leaves have been stamped with 'Old Olive' ink, and some 'Garden Green' ink lightly daubed around the edges of the leaves with a 'Sponge Dauber'.
Sorry, but I did fussy cut the leaves. I originally die cut the stamped image, but there was way too much white surrounding the image.
Bring out the 'Paper Snips' people.

I had an idea to use the 'Elegant Eucalyptus 3D Embossing Folder' with 'Old Olive' cardstock.
And, another idea to use the 'Tailor Made Tags Dies' - to make another tag!
And, I just love this embossed tag.

Adding another sweet little Koala image, and fussy cut leaves with a 'Merry Christmas' sentiment.
Also, the 'Real Red' reinforcement and 'Linen Thread' are a perfect finish for my Australiana Christmas Gift Tag.

See that lovely 'Lindt Koala'?
That was my inspiration for my Christmas Gift Tags.
I have only seen a 'Lindt Bunny' at Easter, but this little guy is my new favourite for Christmas gifting.
Perfect inspo for an 'Aussie Summer Christmas Holiday Happenings' creation or two don't you think?

I hope you have have been inspired by the Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop?
Thankyou for visiting and see you next time. D x

Next up is Sara Nell Langland with her gorgeous project.

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - 'Holiday Happenings'

I really can't believe it's the 4th Sunday of the month of November!

Yes, it really is, and it's the Stamping Sunday Design Team Blog Hop - and our theme is 'Holiday Happenings'.

Summer is just around the corner, and Summer Holidays are just a few weeks away for those of us in Australia. And Christmas! I just can't wait for some fun in the sun and a little getaway over the New Year break.

To start with, I have created a large and extended Christmas Cracker using the 'Cracker & Treat Box Dies' and 'Boughs of Holly 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper'.

This little extended number holds 3 Lindt Chocolate Balls - the regular Cracker will hold 2 Lindt Chocolate Balls.

The sentiment is stamped using the 'Merriest Moments' stamp set.
Die cut with the 'Stylish Shapes Dies' and 'Gold Metallic Specialty Paper' using the 'Layering Circles Dies.

All tied up with 'Gold 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon'.

I have added a few gold sequins from the 'For Everything Fancy Sequins'.

Imperial measurements; adding approximately 1-1/4" to make a longer Cracker.

Metric measurements; adding approximately 3.5cm to make a longer Cracker.

And my favourite little 'Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Dies' - this little item is retired but it's just the cutest little treat box!

To: Me!
The simplest of treat boxes, a tag and some 'Gold Simply Elegant Trim'.

The sweetest duos of Christmas Treat Boxes, and I have a few more to make.

Sometimes simple is the best, especially where Lindt chocolates and these super cute Christmas paper craft boxes make a lovely treat for friends, and for the Christmas table.

Thankyou so much for visiting, and now it's time to visit the Design Team and to see their 'Holiday Happenings' creations. See you next time. D x
