Colour INKspiration Blog Hop #CI10

Hi there. It's time for the Colour INKspiration #CI10 Blog Hop,  and an opportunity for you to join in with this fortnights Colour Challenge.
You may be starting here, or have hopped from Tanya's blog - either way; 'WELCOME!'

Regals & a Neutral.
Not my usual colour choice. However, it is a Challenge after all.

Autumn leaves and the 'Foxy Friends' Bundle were in order for this colour challenge and great colours for a Baby Boy!
My very dapper 'Cajun Craze' fox and his dinky little 'Island Indigo' bow tie, sitting among the 'Delightful Dijon' and 'Crumb Cake' Autumn leaves.

How to create the Autumn leaves:
I die-cut the leaves using the 'Leaflets Framelits Dies'. With a 'Sponge Dauber', I daubed the edges of each leaf, then crumbled them and added a touch of daubing to the creases.

*The background is 'A Little Foxy' DSP - unfortunately, this has Sold Out on the Retiring Products List
You could make your own background using 'Smoky Slate' cardstock and stamping the 'Hardwood' Background stamp and embossing with 'White Stampin' Emboss Powder' or by using the 'Woodland' TIEF.

Thankyou for visiting and I hope you have enjoyed my 'Autumn Foxy Friends' creation?
Keep on hopping... you will be visiting my fabulous friend Kelly Kent, and you don't want to miss out on seeing Kelly's project!

Global Design Project - 'Theme Challenge' #gdp087

This weeks Theme Challenge for the Global Design Project #gdp087
is Cooking, Baking & Making.

I am definitely a maker, and I decided the 'Cook & Bake' part could be a cupcake!
A calorie free, gluten free, dairy free and egg free creation using the 'Sweet Cupcake' Bundle.

My friend Katie, made me a cupcake sample similar to this - and I CASEd Katie's design using a 'Pool Party' patty case and 'Melon Mambo' Frosting/Icing with 'Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter'. I also used 'Flirty Flamingo' as the base for the 2-step stamping.

My cupcake has sprinkles made using the 'Frozen Treats' Framelits Die. You can see the glitter in the frosting/icing which is fun to add in.

Here is the Frosting/icing recipe from Sara Douglas:
Approximately 1/4 cup Corn Starch
1 tablespoon white acrylic paint
1 tablespoon white glue (multipurpose or school glue)
10+ drops of reinker of your choice (for color)
Add water for desired consistency.

Unfortunately, the 'Pool Party' ribbon I have used has already sold out with the Retiring Products. The Square 'Stitched Shapes Framelit Die' makes for a lovely layer to my cupcake.

Thankyou so much for visiting and I hope you can join in with this weeks Challenge. It's such a fun theme! D x

International Project Highlights - 'Masculine'

| on
08:00
Today, I am taking part in an International Project Highlights using Stampin' Up! products, organised by the very lovely Kylie Bertucci.

The theme for this months Blog Highlight is 'Masculine'.
Hands up who has trouble designing/creating/making a card for a man?
I know I do, but I think I have found a great idea to create something for the man in your life. Well, the sports loving kinda man.

I am totally loving the 'Happy Birthday Thinlits Die' - available 1st June, 2017 in the NEW Annual Catlogue. That's 15 more sleeps, peeps.

And for those who have no idea what my creation is...
*it's the Tri-Colours and emblem of an Australian Rugby League Team; the Sydney City Roosters. The only Foundation Club remaining in the National Rugby League (NRL) established in 1908 and still going strong!
(*Very important information from my Rooster's tragic supporter husband)

As I finished stamping my Rooster, from the NEW 'Wood Words' stampset and about to die cut that little guy with the coordinating 'Wood Crate Framelits Die', my almost 9 year old (in 9 more sleeps!) came by and said that he has to have it for his Birthday card. Another Rooster's tragic supporter in my home!

I created another NRL project a couple of weeks ago - see my 'Rabbitohs' Birthday card here.

Thankyou for visiting, and I hope to have inspired you with my footy card creation? Imagine the team colours you can create with!
Oh, before you go, I would love for you to vote for me.
Pretty please. D x

Welcome to the Random Act of Kindness (RAK) Blog Hop.
You are visiting Denita from Australia, and I am showcasing the happy mail I have sent and received from members of the Random Act of Kindness Card Group on Facebook.

Each month, we each select a few people from the Group to send a RAK card to brighten their day. Please feel free to join the Group if you would like to participate in the RAK cards movement (blogging is not mandatory) #imbringingRAKcardsback

These are the cards I have made and sent:
(Click on the image below to go to my original blog post for all products used)
I sent out 4 RAK's in April. (The Cucumber Crush card had already been used). And there is 1 MIA! I hope the Tip Top Taupe card finds it's RAK person soon - maybe they're on holidays?

And this is the love that I have received from the gorgeous people that I have RAK'd!

"Thankyou so much Denita Wright - Independent Stampin' Up Demonstrator, for my lovely RAK card! N i hope you will receive many more! Love Happy Mail!!!" PG

"Thank you Denita ... I love, love, love this card! It arrived yesterday and as I pulled it out of the envelope, a shower of red hearts sprinkled all over the table! Delightful! I love the way the umbrella lifts up on the middle spokes, and the white hand drawn frame! Gorgeous!! xxxxx CM

"Imagine my surprise when I checked the mail on Friday - thank you so much Denita Wright-Smee, my very 1st RAK. Gotta say, I love this umbrella too!#imbringingRAKcardsback" VW

These are the cards I have received:

It's exciting receiving 'Happy Mail' for no reason, and it's wonderful to send a card too. My 2 boys are taking turns going to the mailbox and I love hearing 'Mum. It's for you'.

I hope the projects you have seen have inspired you and brightened your day - as they have mine. Please see the list below and hop around to see all of the projects. You don't want to miss any!

Will you be receiving Happy Mail from me in May? D x
