Hi there...
This is Week 6 for the Global Design Project, and I fell in love with this sketch as soon as I saw it! Yes, it is a Sketch Challenge and I hope you can join in... Be inspired by the Design Team, and see what everyone else is creating.
Here is my creation for this weeks Sketch Challenge:
A little bit of 'Sea Street' and a masculine/Nautical creation. I really love that quirky little Octopus. He sits perfectly on the bottom left of the diagonal, amongst the starfish. I created the ombre horizontal striped background using the Stripes Decorative Mask and a Sponge Dauber with the Bermuda Bay Inkpad. Too easy!
I made a 'Sailor's Knot' from Whisper White Baker's Twine, to compliment the Nautical theme.
And the inside of my card has fussy-cut flags and a touch of stamped rope at the bottom. Leaving enough room to write a message full of Happy Birthday wishes.
TIP: This is how my Octopus became the handsome one; I stamped the image using the Crumb Cake Stampin' Pad. As you can see from the photos above - I created his fancy 'Bermuda Bay' tentacles using these methods. I then fussy-cut around the image.
