Inspire.Create.Stamping 'Masculine' Challenge #117

It's a 'Masculine' theme for our 'Inpsire.Create' stamping Challenge.

Our Design Team have some inspiration for you, and what will you create? We hope you will join in with our Challenge, and you can add your project to our gallery here.

I do love the 'Waves of Inspiration Bundle' for Masculine cards, and I have created something that was approved by my almost 14 & 12 year old boys.

 So, all approved and ready to share with you...

I die-cut the retired 'Blue Foils Specialty Paper' - I think this would look fabulous using the 'Silver Foil Specialty Pack'.

I added the 'Baker's Twine' knot, adding a nautical element, and I have used a sentiment inside the card.

I stamped the wave image using 'Night of Navy' ink onto 'Vellum' cardstock.

Allow the ink to dry, and die-cut using a 'Stitched Rectangle Die'. Die-cut 'Basic White' cardstock with the same sized 'Stitched Rectangle Die' and adhere to the back of the 'Vellum' cardstock.

Next, adhere the die-cut waves over the stamped wave image.

I do love the Clean & Simple look of this card - sometimes the stamped image, die-cut elements and in this case, the nautical knot, was all that was needed.

How gorgeous is the shine of the foil?

Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop - Scraps, left overs and bits & bobs

Hi there!

Is it really the month of May?

The calendar has told me so, and it's also time for the Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop.

Our theme is 'Scraps, left overs and bits & bobs' - stuff left on our craft desk ready to repurpose into something else.... does that sound a bit like you too?

I have a little stash of bits left over from previous projects, and I keep them in a clear case.

Last month I kept some die-cuts and the negative bits from a Tutorial. You just never know when you might need these left overs and lucky I had this months theme to use them.

 

'You're so totally awesome'.

I have used the die-cut wave element and coloured cardstock strips from a left over creation, and I have made a totally different card.

I have used the retired 'High Seas 3D Embossing Folder' for my embossed element.

I added the coloured cardstock strips to a 'Basic Black' circle element, adhering the die-cut wave.

It's kinda retro, and kinda cool for a guy card.

I saved the negative space from the 'Basic Black' die-cut wave, and made a different look - using the same coloured cardstock strips.

'Happy Birthday'

I stamped the sentiment directly to the 'Granny Apple Green' cardstock strip.

Sweet & simple.

So, here's a couple of cards made that were literally in the scrap pile.

I only had to cut 1 x A4 sheet of 'Sahara Sand' cardstock to make the card bases, and all the other layers were left overs too.

A ridiculously tidy craft space!

I have all my crafting goodies in front of me, and to the left of my craft mat is my box of left over stuff just in case!

Always.

Yep, that's my little case of bits & bobs for any moment I may need a little something to add to a creation.
