It's a Colour Challenge for this weeks Global Design Project #gdp021. A trio of Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo & Wisteria Wonder:
I thought I would break out my Butterfly Framelits & Thinlits and create a beautiful & bright butterfly; and here is my creation:
I have used all 3 colours within the Butterfly. Every piece was individually removed from the original intricate die cut, then adhered into the Basic Black intricate die cut butterfly. Lots of patience required for this but the end result is a-maz-ing!
Using the 'Gorgeous Grunge' Stamp set, I stamped in Versa Mark then heat embossed using Gold embossing powder onto the Whisper White mat. The 'Happy Birthday' is from the 'Number of Years' Stamp set found in the Occasions Catalogue.
I decided to make smaller Butterflies and using the same technique as the larger Butterfly, I ended up with 3 mini Butterflies.
The Bermuda Bay Butterfly sits on top of a box:
4.9cm x 4.9cm x 8.3cm (1.75" x 1.75" x 3.25")
I couldn't decide whether to make notecards with the smaller Butterfly, so instead I made Gift Boxes and added the Butterfly onto a Belly band to go around the Gift Boxes.
The Melon Mambo Butterfly sits on top of a box:
8.3cm x 8.3cm x 4.4cm (3.25" x 3.25" x 1.75")
All of the Gift Boxes were made using the 'Gift Box Punch Board'. One of my favourite tools to create the cutest Gift Boxes, and soooooo easy to use and make your own.
The Wisteria Wonder Butterfly sits on top of a box:
6.4cm x 6.4cm x 6.4cm (2.5" x 2.5" x 2.5")
The Gift Boxes I have made are from 20.3cm x 20.3cm (8" x 8") of Basic Black cardstock and there are 3 different dimensions to create your ideal Gift Box to your size.
