Hello! The Global Design Project have a Sketch Challenge #gdp062 for this week. And what a great sketch!
There are so many possibilities to create from a sketch, but this week I already had something in mind and I tried a new technique as well.
I have been invited to a Baby Shower for my lovely friend Molly, and she already knows she is having a little girl. So, I have busted out the pink and I came up with this creation...
I haven't used the 'Something for Baby' stamp set and 'Baby's First Framelits Dies' in a while, and I couldn't go past the pram for my Baby Shower card. A lovely solid stamp with a coordinating Framelit Die to die-cut a perfect image.
Something for Baby stamp set Baby's First Framelits Dies
I want to show you how I coloured my pram and it is such a unique and lovely effect.
My friend Angela Meiritz-Reid, from New Zealand presented at OnStage Live in Brisbane recently and we now have a new technique called the 'AMR technique' dubbed by Kylie.
Luckily, Angela has made a video and you can watch it here:
I have used the 'Pink Pirouette' Classic Stampin' Pad then edged the stamp with a 'Melon Mambo' Stampin' Write Marker, making sure to mark all the lines around the pram.
The wheels have been stamped using 'Smoky Slate' Classic Stampin' Pad and edged using the 'Basic Gray' Stampin' Write Marker - I fussy cut the wheels and adhered them over the top of the original image.
My card base is made from the 'Smoky Slate' polka dots from the 'Neutrals Background Designer Series Papaer Stack'. The underside of the DSP has a beautiful script font, and I highlighted some of the words with a marker. And a sweet line of hearts stamped at the bottom of the Whisper White cardstock.
Thankyou for visiting my blog today. I hope you have been inspired by my Baby card for this weeks Challenge? And I love hearing from you, so you are most welcome to leave me a comment. D x
