Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Eastern Palace Suite

Hi there, and welcome to my blog! 

My name is Denita, and I am a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator on the South Coast of Eastern Australia.

The lovely Sara Levin invited me to take part in the 'Stamping Sunday Blog Hop' and there was no hesitation in me taking part.

We hop the last Sunday of the month, starting from today. So let's get started...

We are all sharing with you the 'Eastern Palace Suite'. 

A NEW Suite available in the Annual Catalogue 1st June, 2017.

However, do we have some exciting news for you? Yes, you!

This gorgeous Suite is available to my customers as an

Before we go any further, I want to show you my creations using the 'Eastern Beauty' Photpolymer stamp set and coordinating 'Eastern Medallions Thinlits Dies'. 

*I haven't used the other products from the Suite because I was busting to use the stamp set & dies first! Although the In Colours, and Mini Tassels and Gold Vinyl Stickers are divine - I will get to them another time.

I have made use of the intricate dies to create some 'Very Vanilla' and 'Copper Foil' cards. 

I embossed the sentiments with 'Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder', and they all look amazing!!! Well, I think so anyway 😉

'Life is beautiful'.

A lovely intricate circle die. I used a 'Layering Circles Framelits Die' within the centre to reveal the middle and added the smaller intricate die-cut.

'Let's be friends forever'. 

This die partially cuts through the cardstock and the 'petals' reveal the colour underneath; in this case the 'Copper Foil'.

'Thank you'.

This is what happens when you snip the partially cut die away from the medium you have used to create it. 

For this creation, I die-cut the 'Copper Foil', then snipped in between the petals to make it a single piece.

There you have some simply, yet elegant projects using the 'Eastern Beauty' Photopolymer stamp set & 'Eastern Medallion Thinlits Dies'.

Global Design Project - 'CASE the Designer' #gdp084

This week we are CASEing Michelle Last, for the Global Design Project 'CASE the Designer' Challenge #gdp084.

*CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

Michelle's card is simply beautiful and I am copying the layout and the textured background. I have used a different stamp set and colours.

 I am getting some use out of my 'You're Sublime' stamp set before it retires. I have loved this set since, forever, and will never let it go. 
Using 'Watercolor Pencils' and a 'Blender Pen' to colour this sweet little caravan.

The 'Happy Heart' Textured Impression Embossing Folder (also retiring), leaves a lovely debossed image for the background. 
And fits well with the sentiment 'Follow your heart'.
The frame of 'Real Red' cardstock gives the 'Whisper White' a bit of a lift too.

'Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies' make for a gorgeous feature - and they also come in circles & ovals within the set.

Colour INKspiration Blog Hop #CI08

Welcome to my blog and to the Colour INKspiration Blog Hop.
Colour INKspiration is a facebook group where you can play along every 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of the month and add your papercrafting projects as per the Colour Swatch assigned.

and how fabulous was her project?

I know we are here for a Colour Challenge, but how adorable is the #CI08 photo swatch? It is the sweetest image.

OK, back to business...

Here is my creation using Delightful Dijon, Tip Top Taupe, Soft Suede,

Early Espresso & Very Vanilla. 
And I have a Sneak peek of NEW products too...

 A little crate carrying notecards. 
I was lucky enough to have attended OnStage Sydney where I won the 'Wood Words' stamp set, and I was able to order the 'Wood Crate Framelits Dies' as part of attending. What a bonus! And something to look forward to when the Annual Catalogue becomes available 1st June, 2017.

I started out stamping the 'Hardwood' Background stamp using 'Soft Suede' Classic Stampin' Pad onto 'Tip Top Taupe' cardstock.
 Before adhering the crate together, I daubed some Soft Suede around the edges and some daubing to the tag as well.
*You can make 2 crates from 1 x A4 sheet of cardstock.

Notecards. And Linen Thread with a bow.
Measurements: Card base 16cm x 8cm (Score at 8cm)
First mat: 7.6cm x 7.6cm
Very Vanilla mat 7.5cm x 7.5cm

And on the inside...

All wrapped up with the beautiful 'Delightful Dijon Mini Striped Ribbon', 
and a tag 'For You'.

Global Design Project - 'Theme Challenge' #gdp083

What a fun theme for this weeks Global Design Project #gdp083;

'Sparkles/Bling'. 

Grab your Glimmer Paper, Glitter and Foil and join in the fun.

My creation is a little outside the square. It's a bit of Sparkles & Bling...

It's 'Tamatoa' from Disney's Moana! Well, a caricature of this 'Shiny' guy. He has a song; 'Shiny', and is possibly the most awful of creatures. But with such presence. 

I had to get my (Retiring 😭) 'You're Sublime' stamp set  out and create this creepy crab.

*Tamatoa is a gargantuan coconut crab that hails from Lalotai, a realm inhabited by monsters. Tamatoa is known as a "beady-eyed bottom feeder", a social reputation he greatly despises. He covers his shell in gold, rare artifacts and treasures as a means to elevate his status, and this overcompensation soon became a crazed love for all things shiny.

'Shiny' is from the 'Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies'. 

I die cut the 'sunshine' & 'hope' dies in 'Gold Glimmer Paper' and made the 'y' from the 'hope' die and turned it upside down. I backed the Gold Glimmer with 'Basic Black' cardstock - die cut the same way.

Tamatoa's collection of sparkly 'Gold Sequins' looking very shiny too.

Those tentacles! A couple of thin strips of 'Perfect Plum' cardstock wrapped around a 'Stampin' Write Marker' to give them some movement.

The background is 'By The Shore DSP' stamped with (Retiring 😭) 'Gorgeous Grunge' stamp set and embossed with 'Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder' & 'Gold Stampin' Glitter'. Looking a little like Tamatoa's Lair.
