It's the first Sunday in the month of October, which means it's Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop time!
Thankyou for joining me. Our theme this month is 'Tricky Treats'... get ready for some awesome treat containers/3D items, and some tips as you get hopping with the rest of the amazing Design Team at the bottom of my post.
My 'Tricky Treats' creations are little Christmas treat boxes that measure 4" x 3" x 1-1/2" when finished.
(You can make these treat boxes for any occasion.)
I just love the 'So Very Merry' stamp set.
The little bird was so fun to colour - no blending required.
I have added some stamping of the Mistletoe image using 'Crumb Cake' ink to the treat box too.
A circle of 'Real Red' behind the sentiment element really makes it pop.
I added 'Stampin' Dimensionals' to the bottom of the circle to adhere it to the treat box.
A little how to:
Top left: Cardstock 9-5/8" x 5-1/2" scored 1-1/2"/4-1/2"/6"/9"
Rotate cardstock 90 degrees
Top right: Score 1-1/2"
Bottom left: Snip to the 1-1/2" score line and notch as shown.
Bottom right: Burnish all the score lines using a 'Bone Folder'
To assemble...
Top left: Apply 'Tear & Tape Adhesive' to the 3" tab and to the 5/8" tab on the side.
Top right: Remove backing tape from the 5/8" tab, fold the right side to the left, and fold flat.
Align the edges and adhere the left 1-1/2" tab to the adhesive.
Bottom left: Assemble the box by folding in the 2 small tabs, enclosing with the large flap, remove the backing tape from the 'Tear & Tape Adhesive' securing the last flap to the back of the box.
Bottom right: Box assembled!
TIP: Stamp your choice of image to the cardstock prior to assembly.
And some really sweet treat boxes made from the 'Vellum Basics Specialty Designer Series Paper'.
TIP: Gently score the Vellum with the Scoring Tool, and burnish the score lines using your fingers.
If you press too hard with the Scoring Tool, the vellum splits and the 'Bone Folder' is too harsh.
(You can always repair the split with sticky tape)
I added 'Clear Wink of Stella' to the Angel's wings, and the 'Balmy Blue Sparkle Ribbon' adds to the glimmer and sparkle.
The gift tags are just so pretty!
And matching sentiments too.
Next up is Dani and her Tricky Treats creation...
Thankyou for visiting, and I hope you enjoyed my creation?
Looking forward to seeing you next month for our November hop. D x
Lovely job colouring those stained glass images!
