Global Design Project - Theme Challenge #gdp119

| on
10:23
The Global Design Project have a 'Theme Challenge' #gdp119 for this week.
'Home for the Holidays'.

OK. So I thought I had created enough 'Beachy Little Christmas' makes.
However, there is just one more I want to share with you...

I found a heart shaped ornament before Christmas, and had a little idea that I could decorate it. And I did decorate; with seashells and 'Linen Thread'. I even added some 'Silver' ribbon, replacing the original ribbon.

I love these little seashells, and I think they look lovely on the heart ornament. Perfect for home décor and our love of the beach for our Summer holidays.

And another ornament using 'Hearts Come Home Bundle'.

'All hearts come home for Christmas' - the most perfect sentiment for a 'Home for the Holidays' Theme Challeng.

Thankyou for visiting me, and get yourself crafting and join in with this fun Challenge - running for 2 weeks and ending 8th January, 2018.
Happy New Year! D x

WWYS #147- Beachy Little Christmas

| on
15:21

For the very first time I am submitting an entry into
My top of the charts favourite stamp set from the Occasions Catalogue is 'Beachy Little Christmas' and I had to join in on the fun with this Challenge!

As per normal for me, I have made a couple of creations, and I am making the most of this stamp set.

A tall gift box and gift tag for my husband.
I wanted to make a tall box and found one on Pinterest, designed by Sam Hammond aka Pootles. Click here for Sam's tutorial.

Before assembling my box; I added 'Tear & Tape Adhesive' to the bottom of the box. I stamped seashells just above and on the tape line.

Then I had a little visit to the beach, removed the protective tape paper and dipped the bottom of the box into the sand.
Cute, hey?

The gift tag was half prepared - lucky the WWYS Challenge came along this week!
The palm tree was a remnant from a Blog Hop from about 3 weeks ago, and I didn't want to throw it out. I added the surf board next to the sentiment and topped it with some 'Wood Textures DSP'.
All my images are coloured with 'Stampin' Blends Markers'.

I had so much fun creating this gift box & gift tag.
Thankyou so much for visiting my blog, and I hope you have 'A Beachy Little Christmas' - wherever you are. D x

I have used a couple of 'Metallics' from our range of products, and the 'Champagne Foil Sheets' were my number 1 choice.

A Place card, Gift box (to be filled with Guylian Belgian Chocolate Seashells) & Napkin holder - perfect for our Summer in Australia, and celebrating our Christmas Day by the beach.

 My very own place card.

How gorgeous is this little box? It will be filled with 'Guylian Belgian Chocolate Seashells'.
You can get your very own 'Silver Mini Gabled Boxes' in the Occasions Catalogue available 3rd January, 2018.
