'Birthday Bonanza' - Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop

| on
00:00
It's a Birthday Bonanza and the Creation Station Design Team have all your Birthday projects sorted. With all the amazing 'Birthday' products in the Annual Catalogue & the Occasions Catalogue, I have made some creations from the 'Party Animal Suite' found in the 'Occasions Catalogue'.

My boys are back to school after their lovely Summer Holidays, and the Birthday invitations are flowing in! My 'Big Shot' has been getting a workout, and I have been creating up a Birthday Bonanza storm. I have some bits & pieces ready for last minute gifting too.

I  started out with the 'Baker's Box' using the 'Party Animal DSP' with all the presents. My 7 year old helped design the Birthday card for his friend, Archie! Finnlay picked the colours for the balloons and the bow.
*A gift card can fit inside the Baker's Box, and I added some gold chocolate coins for an extra treat.

This set is more feminine; the card is sweet & simple with the Polka Dot balloons from the 'Balloon Adventures Bundle', the Treat Bag made using the 'Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits' and the sentiment from the 'Suite Sentiments' stamp set.
And I really love the candle pattern on this DSP.

We have a lovely little friend turning 2 tomorrow, and he is just the 'Best little guy!' He will love the 'Party Animal DSP' on his card, and you can't miss the big number 2!

I made a few gift tags using the 'hinge' die, and decorating with left overs from the DSP & cardstock.

Hinge die?, you ask. In case you're wondering... I have highlighted the said die above from the'Balloon Adventures Bundle'.
My gift tags measure 5cm x 16.2cm (scored at 8.1cm), or 2" x 6 3/8" (scored at 3 3/16")

Happy Mother's Day - Colour Challenge Global Design Project #gdp033 & #tgifc52

Today I have for you my creation for the Global Design Project 'Colour Challenge' #gdp033 and TGIF Challenges 'Mothers Day' #tgifc52. 'Happy 1st Birthday TGIF!!!' And what a gorgeous trio of colours the GDP Designer Team have for us!

I enjoy a Colour Challenge, and I am extra happy when there is a Neutral in the mix. Although these colours are quite masculine, I have Challenged myself to make Mothers' Day cards using this weeks colours.
We celebrate Mother's Day in Australia Sunday 8th May, so I will have plenty of time to create and post my finished cards.
My creations... Using the 'Circle of Spring' stampset.
I also made a matching 'Curvy Keepsake Gift Box'. To create my own background, I stamped the flower image using 'Sahara Sand Inkpad' all over the 'Sahara Sand & Very Vanilla' cardstock after die cutting.

A close up of the Curvy Keepsake Gift Box. I really love how the tiny flower tag turned out! It's the cutest!!!

The wreath has been embossed using gold embossing powder. Such beautiful detail on the Sahara Sand cardstock. I splattered 'Gold Wink of Stella' over the card adding some extra sparkle.

The 'Sahara Sand Lace Trim' & 'Calyspo Coral Seam Binding Ribbon' (soon to be retired and on 'Low Inventory') look pretty together. The sentiment is stamped in 'Night of Navy' and is surrounded by watercolour flowers. And not forgetting the added bling of the 'Gold Glimmer' to the centre of the flowers.

Thankyou for being here. I truly appreciate you reading this far, and most of all I hope to have inspired you to create your own Mother's Day cards, or Birthday cards or whatever the Occasion cards. There is plenty of time to join in on these fun Challenge, and you can click here for all the details for the GDP Colour Challenge, and here for the TGIF Mother's Day Challenge.
Happy days are creative days. D x

School Holiday Children's Class

Hello and welcome to my blog.
We have just had the most wonderful of School Holidays and I had the opportunity to have a Children's Class with 10 gorgeous 5-8 year old girls & boys. Here is what we made:

These projects were perfect for little hands and everyone loved the end result. I had to consider a Class that covered both girls & boys - where everybody would love to make something to give away or to keep for themselves.

The Big Shot made an appearance for the notecards; how fun! We made 'Happy Birthday' cards for the children to make for their friends or family. I had the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder and Star punch to mix it up for a 'Boy or Girl' card.

How cute is the Curvy Keepsake box bird? I CASEd this cutie from Di Barnes - Colour Me Happy, and I placed a mini bag of M&M's inside once everyone had left the table. (I wish I had a camera ready for when Charlotte found what was hiding inside! Priceless.)

Lastly, we made the Owl Builder note tag. He was perfect to end the afternoon of crafting fun... and the kids were so happy with their loot at the end of the session.

Happy Kids + Happy Mums = Happy Me!
