Creation Station Blog Hop 'Going Global'

Hello, and welcome to the May 'Creation Station Design Team' Blog Hop! You have hopped to my blog from Sara, or back from Nicole - a HUGE welcome to you. Make sure you keep on hopping to be inspired by some incredibly talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the Globe, and believe me you are going to be inspired by their creations.

This month the theme is 'Going Global' and we are creating for the guys. I often find myself stuck to create a masculine project, and I have managed to create a few projects for you.

My first creation, using the 'Circle Card Thinlits Dies' and the divine 'Kraft cardstock'...
The 'Globe' stamp was coloured using 'Stampin' Write Markers'. I spritzed the image with water and stamped straight onto 'Watercolour Paper'.
Inside the Circle Flip is the compass - I fussy cut the points and mounted them onto 'Stampin' Dimensionals', then added some 'Gold Wink of Stella' to finish.
My second creation uses the 'World Traveller Textured Impression Embossing Folder'. This was so fun to make, and I added a Hot Air Balloon - reminding me of 'Around the World in 80 Days' by Jules Verne.
I swiped the 'Marina Mist Stampin' Pad' onto the TIEF to colour the water - the water is raised on the 'SIZZIX' side of the TIEF and the countries are left clean to colour using 'Stampin' Write Markers'.
  • Spritz TIEF with water
  • Place the 'Watercolour Paper' into the TIEF and close
  • Run the TIEF through the Big Shot
  • Allow 'Watercolour Paper' to dry fully before creating.

Speaking of 'Around the World in 80 Days' - I created this card using the quote from the original 1956 movie poster.
Using the 'World Traveller TIEF' on 'Kraft cardstock', I edged the countries with the 'Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker', and traced over the Longitude & Latitude lines as well. The quote was created using the fabulous and about to retire 'Alphabet Rotary Stamp'. I will miss this rotary stamp BIG TIME!

And last but not least a few Gift Tags to showcase the other stamps in the 'Going Global' stampset. The 'Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack' has gorgeous patterns, and I love this undulating mountain scene. I stamped the sentiments onto 'Kraft cardstock' and then backed with 'Lost Lagoon' cardstock.

Thankyou for being here. I hope you have some new ideas for the 'Going Global Suite' found in the Occasions Catalogue. If you have any questions, ask away. I love hearing from you.
Happy travels and keep on hopping! D x
