Inspire.Create.Stamping Challenges Blog Hop - 'Theme' Challenge #079

Halloween is just around the corner, and the Inspire.Create.Stamping Challenges Design Team have a 'Halloween' Theme Challenge.

Halloween isn't such a tradition in Australia, and I do love to mix up some of my stamp sets to see what I can come up with.

I have used 'Gnome for the Holidays' and 'Tags Tags Tags' stamp sets to create my 'Halloween' Themed card.

I have created a 'Pumpkin Wizard' with his little Jack-o-Lantern.

(I'm not really sure if there is a 'Pumpkin Wizard'?)

However, he is a really nice guy, and he looks after the pumpkins in the patch and getting them ready to harvest to carve for Halloween.

Colouring the Wizard with 'Stampin' Blends Markers', and fussy cutting to sit on top of the card front using the 'Woodland Embossing Folder'.

I have inlaid the 'Crushed Curry' eyes & mouth into the 'Pumpkin Pie' pumpkin - it fits perfectly over where the original ornament image is.

Tip: * Die cut the moon in 'Whisper White' cardstock, using 'Layering Circles Dies'.  

* Place the 'Basic Black' cardstock into the embossing folder, and place the circle on top of the cardstock. Close the folder, and run through the 'Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine'.

* Remove the moon and cut away the embossed images. Adhere the pieces to the card front around the embossing, following the imprint of the embossed circle.

A fun sentiment on the inside of the card.
