Just Add Ink - Sketch Challenge #467

Hello, and welcome to my blog.
The JAI Design Team have been busy creating for our Sketch Challenge this week.

A friend of mine has just turned 40, and she went to Fiji to celebrate her special day. 
I was inspired by her Tropical getaway, and I have used the 'Tropical Chic Bundle' to create my Sketch Challenge project.

I started out with the square die cut in 'Basic Black', backed with 'Granny Apple Green'. 

I also added some 'Copper Foil' to the back of this element, because I knew I wanted the sentiment to be embossed with 'Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder'.

I stamped the hibiscus flower with 'Melon Mambo ink.

I removed some of the 'Melon Mambo' ink away from the middle of the flower, and the stamens, with a tissue. I added 'Mango Melody ink to the flower with a 'Sponge Dauber'.

I snipped away right to the edge of the coloured flower, so I could add a 'Basic Black' die cut flower behind.

The 'Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder' looks amazing on the Basic Black strip.

The 'Subtle Dynamic TIEF' is one of my favourite Embossing Folders to add a bit of texture to my backgrounds.

Inspire.Create.Stamping Challenges- 'Colour Challenge' #040

I love a Colour Challenge, and this round we are using Black & White. 
We would love for you to join in with our Challenge, and you can add your B&W creation to our gallery here.

I have used the ever so divine 'Tropical Chic Bundle' for my creation - I am so happy this stamp set & Framelits will be available after the new release of the new Annual Catalogue.

I have heat embossed the flower & leaf images using 'White Stampin' Emboss Powder' and the 'Heat Tool'.
Be sure to use the 'Embossing Buddy' on the 'Basic Black' cardstock to prevent any white flecks appearing once heat has been applied.

'You are the Greatest'
I have added a couple of strips of B&W diagonal striped DSP to the card front. This pattern is from the 'Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper.
And a few 'Rhinestone Jewels' adds a touch of sparkle.

Just Add Ink #JAI434

It's another Just Add Ink Challenge, and the Challenge this week is 
'Just Add a Big Bold Sentiment'.

I have used a Big Bold Sentiment and the 'Tropical Chic Bundle' with some 'Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper'.

I started out with the 'Happy Birthday Thinlits Die' for my 'Big Bold Sentiment'.

The 'Tropical Escape DSP' was my choice for the background.

I added a pop of colour with the Hibiscus flower stamped with 'Daffodil Delight' ink, then daubed around the edges of the petals with 'Poppy Parade' ink. 
Then die-cut with the coordinating framelit.
And some gorgeous 'Granny Apple Green' leaves.

The added 'To You' is from the 'Picture Perfect Birthday' stamp set.

And a little touch of 'Gold Metallic Thread' to finish my creation.
