Inspire.Create.Stamping Challenges Blog Hop - 'Colour' Challenge #077

| on
19:00

The inspire.create.stamping Challenges Design Team have a 'Colour Challenge' this week. The colours are deep and rich, much like an Autumnal palette, and I have used them for a Spring wallpaper.

We would love for you to join in the Challenge, and you can add your project to our gallery here.

I have used the 'Lovely You' stamp set, and created a background of flowers & leaves using the Challenge colours...

I stamped the leaves using 'Mossy Meadow' ink; stamping the leaf image twice before inking again.

I randomly added the 'Poppy Parade' & 'Rich Razzleberry' flowers to create the wallpaper background.

I have heat embossed the sentiment using 'White Stampin' Emboss Powder' onto the 'Poppy Parade' cardstock.

Thankyou for visiting my blog, and I hope to have inspired you with my creation?
See you next time. D x

Just Add Ink - Inspiration Challenge #461

| on
00:00
The Just Add Ink Challenge Blog has an 'Inspiration Challenge' #461 this week.
The Design Team have some serious creations for you, and
you are going to love them all!

Such a beautiful photo for our inspiration... and we can't wait for you to join in too!
Add your creation to our JAI Blog Challenge Gallery here.

I have used a mix of 'Basic Gray' cardstock for the Card base & sentiment, and 'Basic Gray' ink for the stem of the flower. 'Gray Granite' cardstock for the card front & mat, and 'Smoky Slate' for the fern images stamped into the corners.
I have stamped the Daisy image with 'Daffodil Delight' ink onto 'So Saffron' cardstock.
Don't you just love the 'Perrenial Essence Floral Centre'?

The sentiment comes from the retired 'Wishing You Well' stampset, as I don't have a sentiment from the NEW Annual Catalogue.
I have coloured some 'Whisper White Baker's Twine' with the 'Dark Daffodil Delight' Stampin' Blends Marker', and wound it around the sentiment.

My Sympathy card using the NEW 'Daisy Lane' stamp set.
It wasn't in my initial thought process, however, sometimes we need to create a card to reach out to someone for their loss.

Thankyou for visiting my blog, and hop around to visit the talent of the JAI Design Team. See you next time. D x

Unique Folds - Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop

| on
23:00
Welcome to the June 'Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop'.
This month we are creating using 'Unique Folds', and there is a whole bunch of fabulous creations awaiting you.

Thankyou for joining me from the lovely Sara.
Sara always has something amazing to share.

My 'Unique Folds' creations are a Z-fold card & Z-fold notecard, using the carrying over 'Share What You Love' stamp set, and some retiring DSP & ribbon.

A 'Z'-fold card is quite a simple, yet effective technique.
From the front, the 'Z'-fold looks like a typical card, however, the 'Z' is the fun part.

A birds eye view...
Take a piece of cardstock and create a card base;
29.7cm x 10.5cm (score at 14.8cm) or 11" x 4-1/4" (score at 5-1/2")
Then score one of the halves in half again; eg. 5.25cm or 2-3/4".
(You should have 2 score lines on your card.)
Fold back at the 2nd score line to create your 'Z' fold.

The card front...
I have attached a panel of 'Share What You Love DSP' & 'Petal Pink' cardstock to the front fold.
The sentiment piece has a stamped off flower in 'Mint Macaron', and then the sentiment is stamped over the top.
Once the sentiment is die cut, attach the ribbon and tie a bow.
Adhere to the card front with 'Stampin' Dimensionals'.
Lastly, add a few pearls - I have used 'Grapefruit Grove' pearls.

The notecard is made exactly the same as the card, however, the measurements are:
9.8 cm x 19.6cm (score at 9.8cm & 4.9cm)
3-7/8" x 7-3/4" (score at 3-7/8" & 1-15/16")

A birds eye view of the notecard.

Stamped off flowers & leaves using 'Mint Macaron', then stamp the sentiment.
Die cut using the Square Framelit from the 'Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies'.
Back the sentiment with 'Petal Pink' cardstock.
Attach a strip of ribbon the the card front, then add the sentiment
with 'Stampin' Dimensionals'.
And a little pearl.

Thankyou for visiting me, and next up is our brand new Design Team Member, Martin from the UK. I cannot wait to see what Martin comes up with, and he has amazing videos too.
Make Martin welcome, and leave him some love.

Have a wonderful Sunday wherever you are, and I am looking forward to seeing you next month. D x
