Inspire.Create.Stamping Challenges Blog Hop - Sketch Challenge #068

Hello, and welcome to my blog.

The Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge Design Team have a Sketch Challenge for you this week.

We would love for you to join in the fun, and you can add your project to our Blog gallery here.

I love that with a Sketch Challenge you can use whatever stamp set, or Designer Series Papers, Ribbons & Embellishments you desire.

I am using a couple of retiring products - get in quick to get these lovely 'Laser-cut cards and DSP, and the returning 'Free As A Bird' stamp set.

I have fussy cut the bird on the branch from the delightful 'Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper', adhering it onto the circle element of the Sketch.

The 'Copper Foil' scallop circle and sentiment layer, give the card such a lift.

The beauty of the 2 sided DSP; as you open, the card you are greeted with the lovely scene of birds and flowers.

I added some texture to the flap of the envelope by adding it to the 'Subtle 3D Embossing Folder'.

(Unfortunately, the envelope didn't photograph very well.)

Here is our Sketch for Challenge #047

I have taken advantage of the beautiful circular filigree pattern from the 'Bird Ballad Laser Cut Cards', and adding a daisy from the 'Daisy Lane' stamp set as another circle element.

I have stamped and fussy cut the delicate fern image, to enhance the delicate background.
The 'Perennial Essence Floral Centers' are a perfect match for the centre of the daisy. Doesn't it look real?

I love the font of the sentiments, and heat embossing 'White Embossing Powder' onto 'Basic Black' cardstock makes a lovely impact.

Just Add Ink - Just Add Sympathy #455

Welcome to my blog, and to the Just Add Ink - Just Add Sympathy Challenge.

What a week the Design Team have had making Sympathy cards 

for our nearest & dearest.

Please join in with this Challenge, and share with us your Sympathy creations. 

Add your project to our gallery here.

Sympathy cards are not the nicest of cards to be giving, however, we send them to someone to show we care about them at such a sad time, and that they are in our thoughts.

My creation is going to a very dear friend of mine.

The *'Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards & Tin' (with scalloped edged envelopes), and *'Bird Ballad DSP' was the perfect choice for my friend.
(The 'Very Vanilla' Cards & Envelopes come in pack of 12 of each, stored in a sweet 'Petal Pink & Gold' tin.)
How divine is the lacy detailed card front? I have adhered a piece of 'Very Vanilla' cardstock behind the detail to fill in the card front.

The sentiment is from the retiring 'Wishing You Well' stampset.
Stamped in 'Soft Suede' ink, then I used stamped off 'So Saffron' ink for the flowers. 
Die cut using the 'Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies'.
Attach a strip of 'Tear & Tape Adhesive' to the back of the rectangle, and apply some divine NEW 'Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim'.

I have fussy cut the bird and flowers from the Designer Series Paper. 
The images from this DSP are so beautiful!
