Just Add Ink - 'Just Choose Two' Challenge #549

 Hello, and welcome to my blog.

The Just Add Ink Design Team have a 'Just Choose Two' Challenge for you... Feathers - Petals - Leaves.

We can't wait to see what you choose, and you can add your project to our gallery here.

I have chosen Leaves & Petals for my 'Just Choose Two', and I have used a combination of floral stamp sets for my creation.

I was inspired by Ruth Trice to get making for this Challenge.

Ruth is the queen of one sheet wonder and wreath stamping, and I have included a link to her blog with 2 videos for you to see how she does it.

Bare in mind, I have used 1 piece of A4  'Basic White' cardstock, where Ruth has used 1 piece of 12" x 12" 'Basic White' cardstock.

I started out finding my favourite floral stamp sets, and commenced stamping with the flourish from the 'Forever Blossoms' using 'So Saffron' ink.

Next, adding the large flower from the 'Pretty Perennials' stamp set in 'Poppy Parade', and stamping other flowers and leaves to complete my sheet.

I have cut the A4 piece into 4 card fronts.

A close up of the combination of stamps and colours. Lots of layers, and a lot of fun too.

'Hello Beautiful' - from the retiring 'Butterfly Gala' stamp set.

I have used the 'Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack' underneath the sentiment element.

These are the colours I have used for my background, and I have stamped off the ink prior to stamping onto the 'Basic White' cardstock to create a softer look; 

'Balmy Blue', 'Blushing Bride', 'Highland Heather', 'Old Olive', 'Pear Pizzazz', 'Pool Party', 'Poppy Parade' and 'So Saffron'.

You can use any combination of colours, and stamp sets that your heart desires.

Just Add Ink - 'Just Add Colour' Challenge #524

 The Just Add Ink Design Team have had a fun time creating for our Colour Challenge #524. We hope you can join in the fun?, and you can add your project to our gallery here.

'Mint Macaron', 'Merry Merlot' & 'Rococo Rose'.

The prettiest of papers is the 'Autumn Gilded Specialty Designer Series Paper'. 

And it's not just an Autumn palette. 

I found this pretty 'Mint Macaron' & 'Gold Foil' pattern perfect for my card front.

I have watercoloured 'Mint Macaron' & 'Rococo Rose' ink onto 'Shimmery White' cardstock with a 'Water Painter'. 

Once dried, I stamped the flower, buds & leaf images using 'Jet Black Stazon Ink'. 

Fussy cut, and adhere to the embossed tag.

Lastly, adding some 'Mint Macaron Basket Weave Ribbon' to the tag, and the sentiment stamped with a smidge of 'Merry Merlot' ink.

Just Add Ink - Just Add a One Layer Card Challenge #485

This week, the Just Add Ink Design Team have created a 'One Layer card'.

And, we have all had a little bit of a struggle to create with just one layer! However, you are going to be pleasantly surprised with what we have come up with.

I have created a Wedding card for our friends getting married this weekend.

I received the NEW 'Forever Blossoms' stamp set as a Prize Patrol, when I attended OnStage Sydney recently, and I couldn't wait to make my 'One Layer card'.

I stamped the flourish, using Memento Ink, directly to the 'Shimmery White' cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment using 'Jet Black Stazon ink' - it stands out from the flowers and leaves.

Lastly, I added the flower and leaves using the Masking Technique.

I coloured the stamped images using 'Stampin' Blends Markers'.

'Light Crumb Cake' was used to outline the images, giving a sense of depth, and it looks like the flowers and leaves are popping from the card front.

I stamped another sentiment on the inside of the card.
As you can see, the 'Stampin' Blends Markers' have come through the cardstock from the colouring on the front of the card. I won't cover it up, as it's showing my handmade work.
However, if you need to cover the inside of your card, you can.

A clean and simply, lovely Wedding card.
