Inspire.Create.Stamping Challenges Blog Hop - 'CASE the Designer' Challenge #088

Hello, and welcome to my blog.

The inspire.create.stamping Challenges Design Team have a 'CASE the Designer' Challenge. CASE = Copy And Share Everything!, and we have been inspired by one our NEW Design Team Members, Jo Blackman, and her amazing project.

We would love for you to be inspired by Jo's card, and add your project to our gallery here.

I love the patchwork look of the Herringbone pattern from Jo's card, and it did take me some time to arrange my pieces of Designer Series Paper.

My pieces of the retiring 'Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper' measure 1cm x 3cm, and once I found my groove, I added the pieces to 'Crumb Cake' cardstock.

'My friend' - sentiment from the 'Ornate Thanks' stamp set.

I stamped the sentiment onto 'Crumb Cake' cardstock, and die cut using a circle from the retiring 'Stitched Shapes Dies'.

I embellished the sentiment with the stitched heart from the retiring 'Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Dies', and the flowers & leaves from the 'In The Tropics Dies'.

And if you know me, a 'Linen Thread' bow is the finishing touch of detail to my 'Bumblebee' stitched heart.

I embossed the retiring 'Terracotta Tile' cardstock card front using the retiring 'Subtle 3D Embossing Folder', to add some fabric like texture.

The retiring 'Braided Linen Trim' is a lovely element to finish my creation.

Whatever You Wanna Be Stampin' - Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop

 The Creation Station Design Team have a fun theme for our October Blog Hop.

We are picking a Spice Girl; Sporty, Scary, Posh, Ginger or Baby. The inspiration coming from their names... or music?, however, I can't wait to see what the Design Team have come up with!

My pick was 'Baby', and I have created a few items to welcome a Newborn using the sweet 'Wildly Happy' stamp set.

I have used the 'Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper' and coordinating 'Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo' for my baby card.

'Mint Macaron' & 'Terracotta Tile' are a great colour combination.

'Sweetest Baby'

I have kept my creation as simple as can be, and only using the 'Jet Black Stazon' ink pad for the stamping of the bunnies.

*You could always stamp the bunnies (or other animals in the set) with 'Memento' ink, and colour with 'Stampin' Blends Markers'.

'Little One'

I love gift tags, and this is just the cutest!

*This would look lovely tied to a brown paper bag or package.

Details: 

DSP measurements: 5cm x 10.5cm or 2" x 4-1/4".

'Delightful Tag Topper Punch', 'Terracotta Tile Ribbon' and a 'Linen Thread' bow.

I couldn't resist, and I made this cute little package using the 'Perfect Parcels Dies'.

Tied up with 'Terracotta Tile Ribbon' and a mini tag.

'Terracotta Tile' Tag: The Square tag die from the 'Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Dies.

'Mint Macaron' Hearts: 'Trio of Tags Dies' - I adhered the plain heart to the back of the detailed heart, adding a 'Stampin' Dimensional' to apply to the tag.

Tied to the ribbon with 'Linen Thread'.

Just Add Ink - 'Just Add a Fancy Fold' Challenge #510

Yep - you are in for a treat with our 'Fancy Fold' theme for the JAI Challenge #510

We would love for you to play along, and you can add your 'Fancy Fold' project to our gallery here.

I visited Pinterest, and typed in 'Fancy Fold cards', and it was here I found quite a lot of tutorials and ideas.

I love a 'Z-fold card', and then I found a 'Z-fold Spinner Card', and below is my take.

The layout of my 'Z-fold Spinner Card'.
I have used the 'Ornate Thanks' stamp set, and coordinating 'Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper'.
'Thanks' stamped with 'Bumblebee' ink and die cut with the 'Stitched Rectangle Dies'.

I stamped 2 daisies onto 'Whisper White' cardstock, and die cut both images using the 'Layering Ovals Dies'. 
Adhering both daisy ovals together, incorporating thread in the middle to create the spinner element.
The 'Z-fold' has be folded in half, and I used the next largest oval from the 'Layering Ovals Dies', to create the oval window for the spinner element.

I stamped the 'ever so much' sentiment on the inside of my card. It sits directly underneath the oval once the card is closed.

The spin action happens when you wind the oval element, close the card front, and when you open it up, it spins! Don't forget to wind the oval up, and close it within an envelope prior to sending to your recipient.
