Just Add Ink - 'CASE Yourself' Challenge #604

 

Hello, and welcome to my blog. 

The Just Add Ink Challenge this week is 'Just Add a CASE of Yourself'

*CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit 

I am CASEing my very first creation for Just Add Ink as a Guest Designer, way back in August 2017 for JAI Challenge #371.

So, here is my creation that I have CASE'd.

I have kept the same layout, and changed up a few of the elements and colour combination for my new look card...

My CASE'd card - as you can see is similar, yet changed up.

The Circle element, ribbon placement, spotty Designer Series Paper and segmented sentiment are the same, however I have die-cut and paper pieced my rainbow element, where my original mermaid was stamped and coloured.

I have changed the circle element by using a 'Pool Party' cardstock circle from the 'Stylish Shapes Dies' and a 'Vellum' circle underneath.

The rainbow & clouds was a fun element to create. 

I have used 'Sweet Sorbet', 'Mango Melody', 'Parakeet Party', 'Tahitian Tide' & 'Orchid Oasis' cardstock for the bows. And some lovely puffy clouds too.

I stamped the sentiment and cut the words using my trusty 'Paper Snips'.

That little 'Sweet Sorbet' heart is a little left over, and it comes from the 'Cracker & Treat Box Dies'.

A delightful piece of gold foil spots from the 'Abstract Beauty Designer Series Paper' was my choice for the card front.

I have used the 'Stitched With Whimsy Dies' to replace the machine stitched border of my original creation.

Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop - 'Innspired by my favourite...'

Hello and welcome to my blog.

You may have hopped to me from Barb in Canada, or started with me in Australia.

The Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop is live, and our theme for April is 'Inspired by my Favourite'... story, novel, movie, folk tale, music group, painting, food, location etc.

Using my favourite 'Rainbow of Happiness Bundle' from the Mini Catalogue I have created a 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' card inspired by my favourite song - sung by Hawaiian musician, Israel Kamakawiwo'ole.

I don't know about you, but the song 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' sung by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole gives me all the feels.

I adore the original version sung by Judy Garland from the movie 'The Wizard of Oz', but Israel has captured every element, and I cry, smile, get goosebumps every time I hear it.

'Sending you a Rainbow of Happiness'.

I stamped the sentiment 6 times with 'Poppy Parade', 'Pumpkin Pie', 'Mango Melody', Granny Apple Green', 'Coastal Cabana' & 'Highland Heather' ink onto 'Basic White' cardstock.

Grabbing my 'Paper Snips' to trim each rainbow word, with 'Stampin' Dimensionals' to adhere to the card front. 

Rainbow. Check ✔️

Clouds. Check ✔️ 

Sentiment. Check ✔️ 

Embossed background: 'Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder' and 'Pool Party' cardstock. Check ✔️

Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop - 'Rainbow Rearrange'

 Hello, and welcome to my blog.

The Creation Station Design Team have a 'Rainbow Rearrange' for this months Blog Hop.

You may have hopped to me from Sara Nell in the US, and I just love her creations! Be sure to hop along and see what the Design Team gets up to...

I have created a rainbow, and nothing like our 'ROYGBIV' - the sequence of hues commonly described as making up a rainbow.

Red - Orange - Yellow - Green - Blue - Indigo - Violet

So, I made a pretty pink rainbow.

'Blushing Bride', 'Petal Pink' & 'Rose Gold Metallic Paper'.

Another of my favourites 'Stitched With Whimsy Dies' for some texture with the rainbow element, and 'You make me happy' sentiment stamped using 'Blushing Bride' ink.

And I made some neutral bows using 'Crumb Cake', 'Early Espresso' & 'Gold Metallic Specialty Paper'.

The die cut 'Vellum' clouds have been touched with 'Gilded Leafing' - add a touch of 'Multipurpose Liquid Glue' to the edge, and dip into the 'Gilded Leafing' for a gold lined cloud.

Oh, and some gift tags - another of my favourite things to make.
