Colour INKspiration Colour Challenge #CI06

I have finally created for the Colour INKSpiration #CI06 using the divine colours; Night of Navy, Pool Party, Calypso Coral & Gold. It has been a busy time preparing for OnStage (last weekend) and it was so much fun. I'll blog about that later.

 

 

With a little bit of stamping, die cutting and embellishments galore, here is my creation:

 

 I started with a 'Very Vanilla' card base, and the same was embossed with the 'Falling Petals' Textured Impression Embossing Folder.

I added touches of colour, and the 'Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit' was a standout for the Gold framed label. And the 'Night of Navy' Baker's Twine is a lovely addition too.

 

The 'Pool Party' flower, 'Calypso Coral' centre and 'Gold Foil' leaves were die cut from the 'Rose Garden' Thinlits Dies. And the 'Gold Metallic Thread' wanted some attention too.

Global Design Project - 'Theme Challenge' #gdp079

What a great 'Theme' for this weeks Global Design Project #gdp079; 'Amusement Park! 
So much fun.

The Occasions Catalogue has the perfect coordinated stamps & cardstock & DSP & embellishments with the 'Cupcakes & Carousels Suite'. 

However, my creation is based on using the ever so gorgeous 'Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit':

What a cute kit? Everything you need to make your creation extra special. The 'Very Vanilla' tassels and ombre 'Calyspo Coral' ribbon are 2 of my favourites from this kit.

Using the 'Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies', I have made a pocket envelope to hide the card inside. I really love the 'Gold Binder Clip' holding everything together. (The 'Pool Party' bow is adhered to the front of the clip.)

When pulled out of the pocket envelope, the card says 'Have fun'. And that tassel is just lovely the way it is, hanging off that divine ombre ribbon.
We're all about Amusement Park; stay with me! It's what's inside that is a whole lot of fun!

I am taking my boys to Sydney Royal Easter Show where the country comes to the city - they have never been, and I cannot wait to take them.

It is going to be a huge day seeing all the Agriculture and Livestock and the excitement of the carnival.

Colour INKspiration Colour Challenge #CI04

This weeks Colour INKspiration Colour Challenge #CI04 is just that! Otherwise, it's not a Challenge, right? So here are the colours we are using...

I have used all 4 colours without introducing other colours ways. I don't particularly use 'Regals', and I am really happy with how my creation turned out. 

I have made an Easter card using the gorgeous 'Suite Sentiments' stampset from the Occasions Catalogue. Teaming the sentiment with sweet stamped & die-cut flowers from the 'Jar of Love' Bundle.

I stamped the flowers in 'Elegant Eggplant' and stamped off again - leaving the softer colour. The same with the 'Delighful Dijon' flowers. I coloured the centres with a 'Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker' and a little sweep of 'Gold Wink of Stella Glitter Brush' to the dried centre.

And did I mention the bow from the divine 'Crushed Curry Baker's Twine'? And how about the debossed 'Polka Dot' Embossed background? I couldn't leave out the 'Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies' or the 'Crushed Curry' scallop circle from the 'Layering Circles Framelits Dies'. 
So much detail overload, but sooooo lovely.

Global Design Project - CASE the Designer #gdp072

This week we are CASEing Design Team Member Krista Frattin's creation for the Global Design Project #gdp072 And it's beautiful. 
How will I tackle this project?

My version is so similar to Krista's, however, there are a few differences. See for yourself...

Colours: I have used 'Crumb Cake' cardstock as the base of my card, 'Very Vanilla' for the sentiment and 'Crumb Cake' ink for the stamped sentiment.

DSP: I used the 'Party Animal DSP' with 'Vellum' over the top, and stitched.

Stampset: 'Suite Sentiments' from the Occasions Catalogue.

Ribbon & Trim: 'Very Vanilla Lace Trim' & 'Linen Thread'.

Framelits: 'Stitched Shapes' & 'Layering Circle' Framelits Dies.

Punch: 'Tree Builder Punch'.

 The flowers & leaves were punched using the 'Tree Builder Punch' in 'Calypso Coral' and 'Old Olive'. I added a hint of 'Gold Glimmer' to the middle of the flowers for a bit of bling.

How gorgeous is the 'Very Vanilla Lace Trim'? And there has to be a 'Linen Thread' bow! Just a lovely finish to this vintage creation.

Another difference is the square shapes on the DSP, and the circle sentiment piece. Krista's card has circles on the mat and a square sentiment piece. Same, but different.
