I am loving this weeks Global Design Project #gdp077 'Colour Challenge'. We have Peekaboo Peach, Bermuda Bay, Early Espresso + a Free Choice!

I have used the 'Cool Treats' Bundle for my creation and my Free Choice colour is the gorgeous 'Watermelon Wonder'.

This lovely little choc-top cone is looking very tasty with the 'Peekaboo Peach' & 'Watermelon Wonder' sprinkles!
And how about the *'Bermuda Bay' Glimmer Paper?
*Earn FREE with Sale-A-Bration for every $90AUD

I used the 'Fine-Tip Glue Pen' to the choc-top to make it look like real chocolate!
With my 'Aqua Painter', I water washed 'Peekaboo Peach' & 'Watermelon Wonder' ink onto 'Shimmery White' cardstock to create a lovely background, and mounted onto the 'Bermuda Bay' Glimmer Paper.

And this is how I created my cone; using 'Crumb Cake' cardstock. The 'Early Espresso' ink creates the lovely waffle effect when sponged onto the Die prior to cutting.

Some fun in the sun on the inside of the card, wishing a little friend of ours the 'Happiest Birthday' (although a tad late).

That's all for now. As much as I have almost left it to the 11th hour to enter my creation!
Thankyou for visiting. D x

Colour INKspiration Colour Challenge Guest Designer #CI05

I have the honour of being chosen as a Guest Designer for the
Thankyou for visiting my blog, and thankyou to Bronwyn for asking me to join this amazing team for this Challenge!
I am a little bit excited!!!!!

Oh. My. Goodness.
Look at the beautiful colours for this Challenge!
Blushing Bride, Soft Sky & Sahara Sand.
*You can also use these Neutrals:
Basic Black, Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Kraft & Metallics.

I started with the gorgeous 'Falling in Love' Designer Series Paper, as all the colours of the Challenge are in this selection, and adhered this piece onto 'Blushing Bride' cardstock.
I love the 'Sahara Sand' DSP with the outline of flowers - this is what I based my design around.

I die-cut the Floral accent from the 'So Detailed Thilnlit Dies' using 'Very Vanilla' cardstock; trimming the wrap/belly-band edges and very lightly water coloured the flowers with my 'Aqua Painter'. I edged the finished piece using a 'Sponge Dauber' and 'Sahara Sand' inkpad.

A final touch using 'Blushing Bride Glimmer' underneath the sentiment.
'I Simply Adore You' from the 'Mixed Borders' stampset.
I don't usually make vintage style creations, however I really LOVE what I have made for the Colour INKspiration Colour Challenge.

Thankyou so much for visiting my blog! I have loved having you here, and hope you visit again. D x

'Boxes, Baskets & Bags Oh, My!' - Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop

| on
01:00
This month, the Creation Station Design Team have been busy making
Boxes, Baskets and Bags. Oh, My!
I love making 3D items, and I have a few projects to show you that will get you creating in no time!

I have made a few little creations, using my favourite Tutorials from some of my favourite Demonstrators. These are my go-to tutorials, and I want to share them with you.

I started out with using 'By the Shore Suite', and the 'Perfectly Wrapped' stampset for the sentiments. We are right at the beginning of Autumn in Australia, and I am missing our Summer already.
So. grab your trusty 'Stampin' Trimmer' for some creating fun.

Boxes: This is all about using some Designer Series Paper for the bottom & cardstock for the lid. Stamping my own background design using the 'Seaside Shore' stamps.
Pretty up this fun project with some 'Baker's Twine' - and making some simple nautical style knots.
Measurements: DSP 14.5cm x 14.5cm, scored 4cm all 4 sides
Cardstock: 11.5cm x 11.5cm, score 2.4cm all 4 sides
For the original tutorial please visit Christina's blog. Click here.

Baskets: I have been wanting to create this little gem for a while. Thanks to Bibi Cameron and her video tutorial for this cute little Beach tote! Click here for Bibi's video tutorial.
Instead of using the DSP strips for the handles, I have used some 'Calypso Coral & 'Very Vanilla' Solid Baker's Twine'. Filling the totes with Beach themed jelly lollies.

Bags: I love making this gift bag! If you have a gift, then wrap it using some DSP. How clever?! And a quick punch of the 'Banner Triple Punch' for the banner, and make your own background stamping.
Thankyou to Connie Collins for her Quick and Easy Gift Bag. Click here for the link to instructions.

So there you have it. A Box, a Basket and a Bag all handmade and so easy-peasy to make. All you need is a 'Stampin' Trimmer' for the cutting and scoring of your papers, and some adhesive to stick them together. Plus, a stampset and embellishments to make them look amazing.

Now it's time to visit 2 amazing and talented ladies;
Click 'On to the Next' button to visit Holly, or 'Go Back' to visit Kathy. I know you will love their creations.
