Just Add Ink #383 - 'Just Add Cake'

Hello. Are you ready for a fun Challenge? 
Just Add Ink have a 'Just Add Cake' Challenge #383

I have come up with something a little outside the square. 
And it is definitely 'Cake' worthy!

Cupcake Gift tags! 
Baked using the 'Coffee Cafe' stamp set & coordinating 'Coffee Cups Framelits Dies'.
Who would have thought?


Details. 
Swiss Meringue Buttercream Icing: add a little smoosh of 'Embossing Paste' onto some 'Very Vanilla' cardstock. Stamp the paste with the 'Cream' stamp and some 'Crumb Cake' ink. Allow to dry, and die-cut.
Sprinkles: 'Subtles' cardstock and die-cut sprinkles using the 'Frozen Treats Framelits Dies'.

I love this little line up of my Happy Birthday Cupcake Gift tags.

Inspire.Create.Stamping Challenges - Theme Challenge #003

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Denita, from Australia, and I am a Design Team Member for the Inspire.Create.Stamping Challenges Blog Hop.
We would love for you to join in with our 'Festive Challenge' #003 for this week and you can add your 'Festive' creation to our gallery here.
 

I have a lovely and simple Christmas card for you to CASE, and not a traditional colour in sight. (I was inspired by a card on page 13 of the Holiday Catalogue.)

 

 I love 'Crumb Cake', and I love water colouring! So, I have combined both of my loves for this little creation.

I also love that you can get all your Christmas cards done with this design. Get your cardstock ready; cut it all up for the card base and also a mat to be embossed with the 'Falling Snow TIEF'.

Hint: You can stamp Santa and his sleigh prior to embossing; the stamped image slips in between the snow fall and it's easier this way than stamping after you have embossed the cardstock.

 

I cut up the 'Shimmery White' cardstock ready for the water colouring.

Now, this is the fun bit! Add water to the 'Shimmery White' cardstock using an 'Aqua Painter'. Then add the inks of your choice; I have used 'Lemon Lime Twist' & 'Emerald Envy' from the Classic Stampin' Pads.

 

Once your water colouring is completely dry, stamp your sentiment on top of the ombre colours. I then adhered some 'Basic Black' cardstock backing to my sentiment and used 'Stampin' Dimensionals' to layer it on my finished creation.

Just Add Ink #381 - 'Just Choose Two'

This week at Just Add Ink is a 'Just Choose Two' Challenge.

Create something using Embossing Paste - Colouring - Sequins. Let's see what you come up with and you can join in with this Challenge by clicking here.
 

 I have chosen 'Embossing Paste' and Colouring for my creation.

 

I coloured the stamped image using a 'Blender Pen' and ink - 'Pear Pizzazz' & 'Lemon Lime Twist' for the leaves, and 'Crushed Curry', 'Sweet Sugarplum' & 'Berry Burst' for the flowers. I added some 'Sahara Sand' to outline the flourish.

 

The 'Layering Ovals Framelits Dies' are a perfect fit for the sentiment. I used 'Naturally Eclectic DSP' for the scalloped oval - 'Berry Burst' with a slight water washed effect throughout the paper.

And how cute is the 'Berry Burst Bitty Bow'? Too cute!

 

Next up was the 'Embossing Paste'. I just love this stuff! 

I wanted some glitter in my 'Embossing Paste' for a bit of sparkle; take a small amount of Embossing Paste from the tub and dollop it onto a small plate.

(A ceramic surface is easy to clean up). 

Add a sprinkle of 'Gold Stampin' Glitter' and mix together. 

Spread the glittery Embossing Paste over the *'Pattern Party Decorative Mask' onto cardstock.

*Remember to wash your Decorative Mask straight away!

 

*Hint: in case you have too much paste for 1 item, have a couple of pieces of cardstock at the ready to use up the rest of the paste. I had some glittery Embossing Paste left over and created part of the mandala for a 'To make later' project.
